Melatonin works for me and my dreams are wackadoodle with or without it. Now, about Luigi Mangioni, yes he's a cute murderer and Ryan Murphy will surely turn this into his next Netflix hit. Meantime, if voters continue to support politicians who will maintain the current "profits before people" scheme, health insurance agencies will have nothing to fear and many will suffer real-life nightmare scenarios.

Hahhah I identify with the issue of developing resistance. In light of that, it seemed that skullcaps works better when I skip a night after taking. My weird life: I typically sleep about 3 hours or so, wake up wide awake, and at that point have a dropper full of skullcaps. The taste is a bit cloying so I put it in flavored seltzer. Then, read something boring. I can typically get a couple more hours of sleep.

The Restria I take every night. The effect is subtle. When I order, I get 6 bottles at a time, a tad cheaper. The first time I ran out, I had forgotten to reorder, so I went about 2 weeks without. My sleep was noticeably worse, informing me that wow that stuff makes a difference

Great tips and a very familiar sleep routine. I describe mine as sleeping in shifts…2-3 hours on, 1 hour off, rinse and repeat. :-)

Yes, this is what a society gets when the central government does not take care of the real needs of its people. This might be our first glimpse of the U.S.A. version of resistance to fascism. In Germany, the people all wanted to be good Germans. In Russia, the Muscovites are willing to endure deprivation intolerable to any other people in the world if only the government will project their paranoia visibly onto the national boundary. In the U.S, we have a history of rebellion against tyranny.

Maybe someone else here can write about the relationship of this assassination with the result of the election in November.

All great points, Sam. Sounds like you've got a great POV. Why don't YOU start your own Substack? If you do, lemme know. I'll be happy to plug ya. :-)

Are you trying to nudge me off Collide Press? I have plenty to do already without trying to compete on Substack, such as admiring your work here. Thank you for your confidence in me, however.

No need to compete...we all rise together, my dear. Thanks for your continued support and vote of confidence. Cheers, Sam!

Clint, your post has struck a chord within me in more ways than one! Regarding your main topic, I have to refrain from going into detail, but I will say that I have a lot of experience dealing with UHG's "Satanic Trinity" (UHC, Optum, and OptumRx). Nothing too life-threatening, but I've lost count of the full-blown panic attacks these entities have triggered in me over the years! Regarding the more humorous aspects of your message, I would like to thank you! I no longer feel guilty about finding the killer attractive! I'm glad he slipped up and pulled down his mask for the employee at the hostel he was staying at. He's fucking adorable, and he has a great smile! Did you notice how well the protesters were endowed in your dream? I imagine they must have had balls the size of grapefruits because the killer must have had colossal cajones to carry out his plan! I apologize to any readers who might be offended by my comments here. I know this is a serious situation. I hope the killer will be apprehended primarily because his story needs to be heard! What happened to him that he would go so far as to avenge his enemies so drastically? Did one of his friends or family members die due to denial of coverage? What if the victim was a child? Just a thought.

Hiya, Mike! Your comment cracked me up...and cheered me up. I was hoping he'd "disappear" and be a modern-day D.B. Cooper. But seems a McDonald's employee is a better investigator than the NYPD and FBI combined. Sorry you too have some PTSD from the un-holy trinity. Hope they are in the rear-view mirror and you're still healthy, wealthy, and wise. As for the dream, I don't recall endowments--mostly because I rarely remember irl...weird I know. As for the suspect, I'm sure we're gonna find out more than we want to know in coming days. Mainstream media already seems to be dissecting him like a biology class frog. Stupid vultures. Like I said, I don't condone violence, but I won't mourn the loss of the CEO of a predatory corporation responsible for so many lost lives and broken lives. Cheers to your health and well-being!

Hey thanks, I appreciate your thread. Melatonin did nothing for me. I have an off-the-charts sleep disorder. Ambien did nothing for me. Some folks like Valerian, but that gave me weird dreams + constipation.

Vitamin D helped. A homeopathic remedy called skullcaps helped. It's reputed to "drain brain energy" (so named for the shape of the flower).

A supplement called Restria helped, reputed to enhance REM (found advertised on YouTube) None of these remedies leave me feeling drugged

Thanks, Carlo...hadn't heard of skullcaps or Restria. Will definitely look into them. I've had sleep issues all my life and just when I find something that works, my body/brain conspire to become "resistant" to whatever magical potion WAS working. Cheers and hope you're sleeping better.
