As tedious as it usually is (I've tried), one thing everyone should do is read the fine print in their insurance contracts. If they can manage it, they should also have a good lawyer who specializes in insurance claims. I've mostly not done the first, could never afford the second, but it seems a good idea.

It’s definitely a good start. But check out the stories in the “For Your Consideration” section. Even giant companies like Samsung are having to fight tooth and nail to get insurance companies to abide by their own policies. The shit is bananas…B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Might need Missy Information to come back for a visit sooner than later. :-p
