Santa Fe, I believe, is full to overflowing with art galleries also full to overflowing with exquisitely made crafts and art. To my taste, too perfectly done. I'm kinda a wabi-sabi guy (an aspect of Japanese esthetic, well known). I believe the temptation to perfection is analogous to the the temptation to bring forth something twee. Which as we both know is something to avoid at all costs!

Hi, Clarke. I spent a couple of days in Santa Fe years ago and it was not my cup of tea. Nice people (and great food!) but like you, I prefer a little wabi-sabi realness to my art. That said, I have been accused of producing overly-sentimental work...so I might be a wee bit twee. I am (and do) what I am (and do). :-p

More "crafts" than art in Santa Fe, NM.

You are more "hot" than "twee," Clint
