Yesterday, I completely forgot it was Studio Saturday until after I woke up from an afternoon nap. So I ended up spending the evening recharging and refilling my creative well, falling down rabbit holes filled with art and photos. My kind of fun!
Forgetting things is normal—human, even—but this felt out of the ordinary for me.
Studio Saturday has been on my calendar for over a year now, at least as old as Collide Press. April 2023? Earlier? Who can remember?
Memory lapses like this have been creeping in more often. Slowly and surely. I’ve always been terrible at remembering names, but now the brain farts and memory lapses are more often and regular.
I’m chalking it up to a combination of age… and exhaustion.
Last week was A LOT—for me, at least. Maybe for you too?
The silver lining is that yesterday’s moment of forgetfulness turned into an unexpected win: time spent exploring, learning, and getting inspired.
Maybe that’s the real magic of Studio Saturdays—reminding me to show up for creativity, no matter the day. Even on Sundays. Even when I forget what I was supposed to be doing.
Just trying to get a nut without going nuts.
Know what I mean, squirrel friends? 🧠🐿️
Have a great day and thanks for reading!
Clint

I wonder how impressed John Singer Sargent was with the fact that he carried the names of two of the most respected manufacturers of precision equipment: Singer machines and Sargent door locks. His version of precision was the fine bristles in oil, I suppose.
May you be safe.
