torrent of horrifying reports on it. I just will not subject myself to it at my age until it calms down
more. Your Substack channel, Mr. Collide, is one of my favorite refuges. Ryan McBeth came over
to Substack, and I will listen to his commentary here, and maybe Andrew Sullivan, but YouTube
is just a blank spot in my consciousness for the time being.

Wow...I feel you, Sam. I'm carefully curating what I watch over there. And have paused comments on my own videos as the level of vitriol is growing from the trolls. Ryan McBeth is retired U.S. Army NCO, E-8 or E-9, who is intensely concerned with the safety of our nation, especially on the Ukrainian front. Other military people understand what he is talking about. He gives good lessons for civilians about cyber-security, preparedness for challenges to civilized life such as internet failure or electrical grid failure; and takes a matter-of-fact view of geo-political relationships and military readiness. His content is not nearly as easy to read as yours, but valuable. Now you know.

We must defeat these demons while they are enfleshed among us in this life,
for if the bodies they are living in die, they will jump to others. One more reason not to wish death upon anyone in particular. Your frustration is shared by me and many others and you have my sympathy. The rational middle must remain resolute and sane in our defense against fascism.
