Love, light, health, strength and happiness to all. I weighed 165 lbs when I moved to Florida in 1979. After a few years, I occasionally drank Gatorade and other similar electrolyte supplements. Doctors were recommending it. Then I noticed I was gaining 5 lbs every year, pretty consistently. When I got to 200, I started on a serious vegetarian diet. Didn't help too much, it's the drinks. One doctor told me never to drink anything that has any calories, at all. Easier said than done.

I’ve been a soda fiend since I was a kid. Coca-Cola helped make my naturally thick frame thicker. And the diet sodas don’t seem to change the equation. It’s weird…it’s like the body ignores the fact there are technically no calories. Or at least mine does. Good thing I enjoy water. Cheers!
