Sigh, I'd like to pack ON a few pounds. I'm down to the weight I was when I got married (first time to a woman - we're still friends). That was about 145lb. My best weight is around 165 which is what I weighed at IML back in 1997. But, I'm healthy and mobile and can still climb into our big elm with my trustee Sawsall and take out the de…

My best weight is around 165 which is what I weighed at IML back in 1997. But, I'm healthy and mobile and can still climb into our big elm with my trustee Sawsall and take out the dead branches at 81. I've got no whining coming!!! I can't wait to see your live broadcast. For me 1pm is a good time. I claim the prerogative of age and hardly ever crawl out of my nice warm bed before 9 or 10 and hubby has the coffee made. The best mornings we take our cups out to the hot tub before driving or biking (we have electric bikes) to the post office which usually takes over an hour or two because you have to stop and chat with all the other folks coming and going. Ah, life in a small town!!!
If you’re climbing trees at 81, Dennis, you’re doing just fine. Also, I haven’t seen under 200 pounds since I was tween…big bones (and bellies) run in my family. But I think all body types are great. Just trying to make mine a little lighter so maybe I can climb a tree again. Though I’ll leave the pruning for the professionals. I never was good with power tools.
What time zone are you in Dennis? Gonna do my best to find a good time for most people. Cheers!
Awesome! I’ll be sending out a link to watch it (privately) on YouTube. Unless I can figure out how to watch it on Substack live using the platform I’m using. To be determined/figured out. 🤓😎🥸
Thanks, Doug, Getting this old is weird! Totally unexpected, for sure. But you get used to it so we just keep on living and wringing as much pleasure and spreading as much joy as you can. I've really enjoyed most of it and appreciated even the tough parts (mostly in retrospect). Learned a lot and hoping I get a chance to use that education in the next whatever.

I'm in Carrizozo NM which is in Mountain time. But so long as you're not on before 10am I'll catch it. Do I just come here to see it?

I'm totally impressed with your skills so far. Looking forward to seeing you live.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Dennis. Much appreciated. Look forward to seeing you in the chat. Cheers!

The thing is Dennis, like you too, I don't feel old in the brain/emotions, it's just my damned body that lets me down 😮😎 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
Hang in there, Doug! Let your brain and self and other-love rule.
Cheers Dennis
