Orangy man is everything you say and worse. I've seen items suggesting that he plans on implementing martial law on April 20. That would be the absolute end of our democracy if he gets away with it. As bad as he is, I simply can not believe that GOP reps and senators can continue to support this child who is tearing apart our country so fast is makes my head spin. They need to grow a pair and held us save this country. God help us if they don't.

By April 20, martial law may be needed…at this rate he and the powers that be have a bigger target on their backs that ever before. Oh. Well. They’ve fucked around and some will likely find out sooner than later than folks are tired of their bullshit. While the RNC has become a cult, I think the DNC is an echochamber of good intentions and big donor donations. Lip syncing for your life is fun to watch on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but watching politicians do it—sans drag and paint—is just sad. And frustrating. Do something…find some common ground. Make the world a better place. Fuck. It’s not that damn complicated. Grrrr…this bear is out of his cave and ready to eat a few faces. lol

My deepest resentment I maintain for the Democrat Party, which has been the party of stupid for fifty years. Why can they not communicate effectively? Why do the morons think the Democrats have given help only to "them people?" Why do the Democrats sit beside warehouses full of rhetorical ammunition they could use against the fascists and just look at it stupidly? jAnd why does the national-level Democrat leadership sabotage every successful local campaign that does not strongly repel its influence?

The DNC’s ridiculous need to try and address everyone’s problems and refusal to prioritize anything has always struck me as myopic. They end up looking weak and acting weaker. I’m all for trying to address as many issues as possible—mostly because I see them as systemically interconnected—but realize trying to make everyone happy means no one is happy and progress is damn near impossible. More independents needs to grow a set and make more ruckus to get more stuff done. Tired of this two “party” bs. Time for the circle (of jerks) to be broken…at least from my pov. :-)

Al Franken said the Republicans get together before campaign season and say, "Okay, we want to consolidate our power and get more money." The Democrats say,"Oh, wait, we can't proceed with our caucus; I think we do not have the Lesbian Innuit representative from Alaska." That is why the Democrat Party cannot get anywhere.

. Peace be with you, Clint.

I don’t disagree with you. I think both approaches suck. That’s why I’m left-leaning, humanist independent. I’m all for coalition building, but for fuck’s sake…get to work, Dems. And learn a few things from the “greed is good” types to win without feeling guilty for it. Sadly, I think both parties just enjoy bitching and moaning and doing very little public service. Sad.

You have hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately, we who understand that the dumbass we have in the Whitehouse has no clue about how to serve the nation. I get the impression he believes he is president of a corporation and he can do whatever he wants. If past performance is any indication he will push the country into a major depression just as he has run most of his companies into bankruptcy. What really pisses me off is who cut the balls off Congress?

Thanks, Allen. The vast majority of Congress is only concerned with maintaining power, not in doing anything meaningful. Our elections have been rigged—by lobbyists and PACs—for far too long. And those who could change it aren’t interested…it would impact their bottom too much. Public service? Not.

Thanks Clint. Adam Scott's birthday you say? Happy happy birthday Adam. Loved seeing him and a piece of wood being handled in Tell Me You Love Me. In that series we literally also got to see ALL of Ian Somerhalder. Adam played a gay character in Seven and a Match in 2001.

I'm watching the 9th season of Grantchester.

10 years ago, I was relaxing in bed listening to WFMT, the classical music station in Chicago. The announcer does all the commercials, newsbreaks, weather, etc. Every news break started beginning with the words, "D.T. said". Why would people listening to anything have been interested in hearing those words ten years ago? People here were already mad that they had to see his name on T Tower at every L stop on Wabash. This has been a 10-year brainwashing campaign, in which ALL media has participated, even people supposedly on our side. My desktop background on this PC is the July 2, 2018 cover of The New Yorker Magazine, depicting 5 small children hiding in the folds of The Statue of Liberty. Never Forgive. Never Forget.

Sadly, legacy media is a bunch of dying dinosaurs and has lost any sense of morality or even newsworthiness. Their death rattles are desperate attempts to remain relevant. Much like Conald Chump, they’re dependent on ratings to survive. And the numbers just aren’t adding up. I will be glad when they all meet their maker…and stfu already. Tired of hearing and seeing about that so-called “man”…and his zucking minions. :-p

Inasmuch as the meanings of words are central to today's remarks, and since you've mentioned "gaslighting," I'm going to jump onto a hobby horse that I know full well is going nowhere.

Since 1938, when the play by Patrick Hamilton was first performed, the term "gaslight" as a verb has had a specific meaning: psychological manipulation intended to make its victim doubt their own sanity. Colorful, useful word.

Putin's puppy, the Stalin wannabe, has never gaslit anyone. We who've seen right through him since day one are perfectly sure of our sanity. And while we may doubt that of his MAGAt minions, they're completely unaware they've gone 'round the bend.

But in years since the advent of this century, this poor, once-great word has, like so many things in the era of the mango menace, been cheapened and stripped of its meaning. It's become reduced to nothing more than a synonym for something for which there were already perfectly good words: lying and bullshitting of the most unremarkable garden variety.

Yeah, I know I'm pissing in the wind, and the 21st-century definition has all but supplanted the original one. And that's a tragic representation of the degradation of both the beautiful language we speak and communication in general.

OMG I h8 that no wut I mean?

While I understand your point, Steven, language has always changed over time…and always will. Also, I believe there are many who are genuinely gaslit. Some willfully ignorant. Some just trying to live their own lives and other who enjoy too much wrestling and “reality” tv.

It’s all smoke and mirrors by amateur magicians in my book. I wish they’d all just disappear…forevermore. :-)

Totally agree and understand with everything you said. It's going to take Maga folks to realise what they swallowed hook line and sinker to bring about rationalism. I despair for the whole of humanity what this can of worms has created. The evil Pandora's box has been opened and the next world tyrant is watching the action thinking can I get away with it........too. I'll force a Cheers DougT 🇫🇴

Thanks, Doug. Trying to keep the fight alive and well. Despite their best efforts, I refuse to let domestic terrorists (and toddlers) ruin my day. Fuck them…and the orange clown they road in on. Fuck them all.

Cheers, love, and light to you though! 🌈❤️✌️

Thanks, Dog. I get that God has a sense of humor—see platypus and politics in general—but this situation has gone from comedy to tragedy. May the circle (of jerks) be broken, bye and byeee, Lawd, bye and byeee.
