One result of pushiness in Facebook that I've observed is there are several sites I used to visit daily. Or rather, they'd turn up in my Inbox regularly. Suddenly, they're no longer there and I have to go hunting for them. I don't understand algorithms. (Hell, I don't even understand computers!) But I'm certain they're nefarious!

Likewise, George. I don’t fully understand them, but I know they’re mostly used to help Fuckerberg. So I’ve opted out of Meta’s algorithms as much as possible. If you’re interested, the video post I linked of two of Substack’s founders discussing algorithms might help you understand them a little better. Cuz…they’re everywhere! ;-)

Jeez Clint you know well enough me and Social Media(SM) don't get along 😁😎 I only use SS as a visitor to your posts, I'm not getting sucked into SS rabbit hole even if it's kinder. The only other SM is YT but again as a visitor and yup I can waste too much time on it. As for the rest, no way Jose. As with much else get something out of it otherwise your wasting you time and energies. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴 the miserable (but sane) old fart 😎

I like how you balance out the fun and sane, Doug. If only I didn’t depend on so many of the platforms to source photos and help promote my work, I’d stop using them altogether. Except SS, cuz I genuinely like most of what the algorithm connects me with. YT, as you know, makes me bitch and glitch too much. lol
