Not completley on topic Clint, but i have wanted to say this before. Americans have such beautiful teeth. Is dentistry quite reasonable ? In New Zealand it is very expensive, which puts a lot of lower income people unable to keep good teeth. When you get a bill, it is not itemised, and no hourly rate is ever mentioned. And it appears that it is a closed shop, as if you change dentists, the high prices are still the same. If you are extremely lucky, like me, you may find an older dentist that has reasonable fees, almost half of what the previous one charged. To keep excellent teeth, you need to be fairly well off financially. No wonder we are short of brain surgeons, there is more money in dentistry it seems.

Hi Richard…dental care is expensive here too. But if you work in the corporate sector, dental insurance is relatively inexpensive. Obviously what you see on tv isn’t reality. Now that I’m independent, it’s a struggle to afford dental care, so brusha-brusha and flossa-flossa I try. And keep my fingers crossed. Cheers, my Kiwi patron!

Thanks Clint, but i based my judgement on the young tourists that i see, and also on You Tube. Believe it or not, i do not have a TV anymore. Got fed up with all the rubbish, and got rid of it six years ago.

If they're travelling to NZ from the US, they've got money. I've only visited once--back in the 1990s--and was so glad I was travelling on business. Those flights were long AND expensive. But what a beautiful country. Well, the small sliver I got to see. Auckland and Piha really. :-)

Yes, i guess that they do have money Clint. The real scenic beauty of N Z is on the West Coast of the South Island i think. So much natural bush and lovely lakes. I have spent many hours there on holiday. They do get a high rainfall there, but that keeps everything green.

Piha remains the most beautiful, peaceful place I’ve ever been to. Can still picture it all vividly almost 30 years later. Our driver kept saying it was a pity we didn’t have more time…that Piha was nothing to the rest of the country. :-)

It's your platform Collide Press so I guess that means you can post anything you want and readers if they don't like it have the right to ignore it. Or in other words STFU.

Since I was a little kid I've had train wreck fascination with people who act like they have a highly informed opinion that's been solicited.... when in reality their opinion is jaw-droppingly UNinformed and completely UNsolicited. Witnesses are left with two possibilities: 1. The person honestly believes he's qualified which makes him delusional. or 2. The person is well aware which makes the behavior unprovoked aggression. Either way, the only productive response I've found is avoidance.

I loved Adam and the Ants since he first hit Boston in 1980(?). It was before he became popular here. Then there were the Dead Kennedies (Kennedys?), the Jam, Pychodelic Furs, Then there was 'die deutsche Invasion' a few years later. The German language originals were on the air and no longer 'new' when the English versions were released. My German prof told us enrollment in his department spiked during this time.

Wish I knew why I don’t always see notifications until HOURS later, but here I am…catching up. Dunno about all the mansplainers. If I wanted their opinion, I would ask. Fine to share your story and even a suggestion, but anyone trying to tell me what to do is automatically on my shit list.

As for the non-UK European musicians, Falco is the only one I remember. And yes I rocked me some Amadeus. Germans and Austrians get mixed up in my geographically challenged brain. :-)

There are a few folks I wouldn't mind seeing sodded. You're not one of them. Cheers! :-)

One thing these remind me of is that so many men look better with a little age on them! I know that sounds patronizing, & that attractiveness is subjective, but...

Sean Connery, George Michaels, & Don Ameche I find much more fetching 10 years later than the photos shown. I think the Carey Grant of "Arsenic & Old Lace" & the Claude Raines of "Casablanca" more appealing than as much younger pin-ups.

I am very aware that's probably a minority opinion. It may also psychologically have to do with WHEN I encountered them -- later in (their) life. For example, I don't think of Churchill like that at all -- but certainly acknowledge he was physically attractive during his Boer days.

These really are a lot of fun! "Guess the Celebrity" was harder this time. Thanks, Clint.

Glad you enjoyed, Tom! I agree with you on some for sure. Especially George Michael. His “Faith” and “Listen Without Prejudice” years are my personal faves. Cheers!

I loved Adam Ant, though I was a wee bit too young to fully appreciate/understand his kind of music and performace art at the time. Go, New Waver!
