Hahaha...my college government professor used to return my essays with lines like "How do you REALLY feel?" and "Your flare for the dramatic will set the world on fire." So I guess I've been more on the fiery side of opinion...maybe why they're called "hot takes." When I started writing, I intended to write about spring cleaning and such, but the biggest thing I wanted to clean was the toilet bowl that is Washington, D.C. So many gross examples of humanity in such a small area. As for history, I agree...this isn't necessarily a "new" thing, but the severity appears to be at an all-time high. Or low. Depending on your pov. How low can they go? I'm not sure I can handle the answer.

Sorry if my vitriol was a bit extra, but I truly hate these anti-everything motherfuckers. They can't evaporate fast enough from the earth for my taste. And not a one of them has a full-length mirror to see how truly ugh-ly they are. Vance...he at least has a hand mirror to apply all the eyeliner. Nothing against men wearing eyeliner if they want to, but anyone that obsessed with hating drag queens, trans women, and women in general protests a little too fucking much in my book. Yeah.... What I find amusing is that the anti everyone-who-is-not-a-cis-het-white-male groups can't seem to find a single cis-het-white-male as spokesmen. Nearly every single one makes me run over to my gaydar and hope I can unplug it before the whole thing overheats and melts into a pile of metal and plastic.

For the first half of my life all I heard was how cynical I was and how I was grossly overestimating the percentage of people who were 'not quite right'. I am now aware that I was actually grossly UNDERestimating that percentage.
One of the few bright spots is that the MAGA crowd appears on average to be going under the bus sooner/faster than the non-MAGA.
