I reel every time I hear some of the most entitled and privileged people in the world claim that they believe in meritocracy.
Get off the crossā¦we need some wood: To light the bonfire under their vanities.
I reel becauseā¦letās get real: These clowns have done little to nothing to merit their own power and wealth.
Yes, Iām lumping the entire current administration and ārulingā political partyāthose elected and those not-so-electedāinto one giant pile..of shit. In my book, every last one of them is fullā¦of shit.
Washington has gone from a swamp to a backed-up sewer system, filled with jerkface journalists, loathsome lobbyists, obscene oligarchs, and pandering politicians.
The stench throughout D.C. is so pervasive that the apologists, the interlopers, and the propagandists pretend not to even smell their own figurative and literal filth.
Because if they acknowledged they smelled it, they might realize they dealt it. Or not. Self-awareness has never been a strong point for banana-republic Republicans and wannabe dick-taters.
When the real boogeymen need imaginary boogeymen and scapegoats, they point to anyone and anything to blame for their own shortcomings.
Those who want all the glory and power must also accept all the blame and responsibility. No exceptions. Especially for non-exceptional blowhards.
Being āwoke,ā āDEI,ā or the Department of Education arenāt real problems.
Our real problems include blindly believing anything a convicted felon and his cult of personality says. Our real problems include accepting fictions as facts. Just because some reality tv billionaire said so. It would be funny if it wasnāt so goddamn pathetic.
Iāve lost countless family members and friends to this cult of personality. Seeing formerly reasonableāand reasonably smartāpeople turn into rabid attack dogs via bigotry, hate, and misinformation infuriates me. I remember when conservatism did not focus on the CON first and foremost.
From my experience, MAGA and their ilk know theyāre wrong, but are far too proud to admit theyāve been punkād by a used car salesman and circus barker who likes playing golf and political cosplay while boasting about an imaginary āmandateā that doesnāt fucking exist. Lying liar lie. And then lie some more.
If only the other side of the aisle had the balls to nail his tiny balls to walls. How much more are we going to allow him to fuck around without letting him find outā¦he aināt nobodyās brass-gilded king. The emperor has no balls, clothes, or common sense. But I hear he does have a full diaper.
Those who donāt care about anyone but themselves are the scourge of democracy and humanity. And I have the urge to scream every time I hear or see any of them pretend to be working for the greater good when their only concern is obviously hoarding more power, more money, and more influence.
The idea of a kakistocracyāa government run by the least qualified, the most corrupt, the absolute worst among usāhas gone from a dystopian warning to a documentary in a matter of weeks. And itās likely to get worse before it gets better.
These people are not merely incompetent; they are maliciously so. Their primary talent is manipulating public perception while enriching themselves and their cronies. Their every action is a testament to their disdain for the public they supposedly serve.
Look at the policies they push: dismantling government agencies that actually do some good in the world, firing workers indiscriminately, gutting social safety nets, handing tax breaks to billionaires while sneering at the struggles of everyday people, ignoring judicial order, and restricting fundamental rights.
These chaos monster oligarchsāand their little mobs of enablers tooāare far from smart, but also far from ignorant of the damage they cause. In fact, because they have no clue how to build bridges, they revel in destroying them. They mask their greed with empty patriotism and platitudes about hard work and personal responsibility, all while ensuring that the system remains rigged in their favor.
Itās not the art of the dealā¦itās the art of political gaslighting.
These so-called leaders love to tell us what we can see with our own eyes isnāt real. That the economy is thriving while most have to work multiple jobs just to afford food and rent. That they care about the middle class while funneling wealth ever upward. That they stand for justice while they trample civil liberties with every breath they take.
Meritocracy? Puh-lease. These folk wouldnāt last a day in a world where their family name, their connections, and their inherited wealth didnāt grant them an easy, if not free, ride.
They fear true meritocracy more than anything because it would expose them for what they really are: parasitic failures and frauds feeding off the blood, sweat, and tears of others.
I have no problems with welfare mothers. I have more issues than the National Geographic with welfare billionaires.
If democracy is to mean anything, we cannot continue tolerating governance by the worst. We must demand accountability, competence, and genuine public service.
Our problems arenāt intelligence, diversity, and/or progress. The problems are a lack of intelligence, a lack of empathy, and/or a lack of common decency.
Enough with kakistocratsā¦itās time to flush them and their bullshit down the drain.
Best wishes for peace and prosperityā¦

Clint,
Thanks - you have made my day for saying it like it is.
Gosh! Don't mince words amigo...LOL. Since my life doesn't revolve around politics and I understand where you're coming from, it's easy for me to appreciate your jeremiad and your eloquence. We have been an oligarchy since Gen. Washington's time, but it does seem that has been taken to an extreme.
