I think a lot of people relate to your comments in one way or another! So, I'll just say "Hi" and hope you are feeling better. I made Tuscan Bean Soup today and will have some tonight. It will be much better tomorrow! Thanks Clint!!
Thank you, Doug…I appreciate it. Feels weird to feel the need to explain myself so much. But I’m working on that. Sending hugs to you and the Ivory Tower!
Hey, one of your birthday people, Liz Stephanics, and I both worked for NMAIDS Services which another friend and I started. She went on to become ED of NMAS and I took over the Medical Clinic for HealthCare for the Homeless. I always check out some of the folks on your birthday list; it was nice to find a friend on it!! She was also our Senator for our district for a while.
WOW! Dennis that’s awesome. I try to find people who deserve to be spotlighted. Sounds I might need to get you on my lists, kind sir. You’ve got friends in high places. :-)
I felt this one and can relate too, Clint. “Capable of wasting my time all by myself” might be the most accurate description of adulthood I’ve ever read. Honestly, the older I get, the smaller my circle gets. Just out of energy management TBH. I think you nailed it when you said connection doesn’t need proximity, it needs presence. Even if that presence is through a comment, a DM, or a post. So yeah… cheers to being "social-ish" and "not leaving-the-house" social. =)
Thanks, Alejandro. What you call “energy management” I call “mental real estate.” And some folks are working my last good nerve with all their Monopoly game play. So I’m gonna play by myself until they stop acting a fool. hehehe
🌈🏳🌈❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🤎🖤Thanks Clint and Carl. We had our first snowfall today. ❄🌨⛄ I put rice and warm water out for the birds🐦🕊🦉🐧 Neil deGrasse Tyson on Carl: Sagan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqHzixaglXM Sagan had a funding rivalry with our own J. Hynek's own work is hidden behind a paywall at the Evanston History Center at Dawes House. 🤎🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤🏳🌈🌈
Clint, I have gone through a similar leaving of my social life and friends behind. I blame the onset on COVID. I blame the reinforcement on my sometimes days of not feeling well so just cancelling any plans I may of had. I blame it on my being 80 years old and enjoying my solitude. Or is it that I am lazy? Or is it that I no longer want to have to work at being "nice", no longer want to be an evening's worth of entertainment with my story telling and interesting life (is it?). Fondly, Michael
It’s a quandry, ain’t it? Rightly or wrongly, in too many relationships, I feel like I’ve put in more of the work, so the relationships are out of balance. And once I’m doing math, I feel like there’s little room for course-correcting, so just stop trying altogether. I’m sure others have felt the same way about me. It’s both sad and clarifying to me. I’m lucky to have a small but mighty inner circle. But I won’t lie…they’re not always available and I miss some of those in outer orbits. Oh well. Life goes on. And I really don’t mind me homo alono. Our connection is an example of the type of virtual friendships that touch my soul and brighten my days. Thank you, Michael!
So true. Hadn't thought about the "balance" part and give and take of relationsips. And then sometimes when you really need them, they don't show up! HOMO ALONO! Like it. Take care, Fondly, Michael
I feel all of that, Lee. I’m the common denominator in all of my relationships. But sometimes, I do wish folks would try just a bit harder. Without being annoying. lol I’ll remain forever grateful for those who have stuck with me and hope they feel half as loved as they make me feel. Cheers for the good guys and girls in our worlds!

Clint just do it your own way, I do, a phrase I'm in favour of 'Be yourself, they'll adjust' Cheers DougT 🇫🇴🇬🇧

I don’t know anything about the rivalry, but where there’s fame there’s usually controversy. For one reason or another. Thanks for video, Steve!

I love this approach to social media- showing up to share what you love, but not chasing the ever elusive algorithm.
And I love the “Captain Caveman Era” mention. LoL. It brings me back, for sure.
Thanks for the mention too! ❤️
Much appreciated, Waymon. Great post, as always!
Great article 👏 sending you blessings all day 🫂
Thanks, Gworls! 🌈✌️
Love that distinction, Lee. Cheers to you and your ULTIMATES!
