'Giszowiec' is the name of a town. 'Letnia' is an adjective meaning like 'every summer'. 'Pływania' literally means 'a place designated for swimming'. It's built off the verb 'to swim'. I've never seen that before. Normally you just say what it is, like 'river bank beach' or 'swimming pool'.
Imagine:
Q: Is there a pool?
A: There's a place to swim.
It's like you're being deliberately cryptic and trying to hide the physical nature of the place. So it's even more bizarre because it seems to be a lakefront beach.
I even checked the dictionary to make sure I understood it right. I did. Not for the first time I wish I were a native speaker. I'm a heritage speaker and I was lucky to get what I did so I need to count my blessings and be thankful.

Sorry for the rambling.
Love the pondering and translations. So many mysteries in some of these photos….
