One of my all-time favorite songs and performances. I still love it every time I hear it, even after all of these years. Not bad for a guy who mostly likes classical.
Steve! Despite my aversion to Ms. Paltrow, I concur that Duets is a solid film (and soundtrack). I always forget how much I enjoy Mr. Lewis. He did some bit roles in a couple of Robert Altman films too, if memory serves. I know he’s in Short Cuts.
I only recently learned Mr. Grey was still with us too. He’s a hoot. I hope he keeps on kicking.
Love knowing fellow car singers. I'll leave karaoke to the pros. But if you see my big, bald head in traffic, my mouth is likely open, belting out whatever's on the playlist at full volume. No wonder friends prefer to drive...and dj. lol
That was interesting, Clint. Also revealing. I know better than to sing in public anyway. The lead singer of YMCA recently said it wasn't a Gay song. Sure, OK. It gets more playtime now because of Trump whom I like. A lot of Gays point a finger at him for being anti-Gay but he appointed an out Gay to his cabinet.
Thanks, Jerry. We're all free to like who we like and not like who we don't. I'm not a fan of any of the current administration, but that's just me and my pov. Hope you're well. Let's all keep calm and keep creating!
Nice one Clint, I'm with Bono too I've never found what I'm looking for either 🙄 however I've tried the patience of many a saint in the quest. Hence the Ivory Tower refuge I single handedly built, mostly to protect others (?) 😔 Such is life (wimping out?) On a side note the temperature has reached an unseasonable 26c (74f), guess we'll pay for it later with water shortages though. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
Oh, love...I sense you're far too hard on yourself. Though the same has oft been said of me, myself, and I. I've found some of what I've been looking for over the years, but it hasn't always remained found. I'd lose my ass if it weren't attached, methinks. Gonna send you an email shortly...stay tuned. As for the weather, Mother Nature is all over the map again. It's been sunny, without a cloud in the sky all week here. Warmer than I like, but Spring has definitely sprung. Recharging my solar batteries while I plot out my next steps. Cheers, dears!
FUN! I especially like the track from 1932...a new one for me. Had no idea the Sun was so gay. He's "coming out" today. Like we all didn't already know. Bald, beautiful, and bright? Definitely a fellow mo in my book!
Ahhh those were the days of full tongue in cheek merriment big band orchestras. It was also a little ditty you were taught in kindergarten etc even if some of the wording had a far different meaning to day. 🥺🥺🥺

It’s a haunting song that seems to cross music genres. Cheers, David!
Thanks Clint. Duets, with Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow as karaoke singers, is a favorite.
Beautiful day here. The moon is a waxing crescent though.
I had no idea Joel Grey was still alive. Hooray for Joel.

Thank you so much for the share! I truly appreciate it!
Sho nuff, Mr. Martin. You’re doing some important and needed work. Happy to share and shine some light with you. Cheers!
Thank you so much for the shoutout.
Sure thing, Jai. I appreciate your work and send my best to your healing, health, and happiness, dear. Cheers!
I totally get it! I love to sing in the car. I've tried karaoke a couple of times - with other people.

Just a few ditties to put a smile on your and other SS readers seeing we are having unseasonably warm sunny weather in 🇫🇴🇬🇧 Cheers DougT

Love it. The “good ole days” definitely had some charm and perks.
