Hi Clint, I left a fuller comment on YT and couldn't be arsed(Brits will understand that phrase)to retype it on here. I haven't been able to master the Copy N Paste from YT yet 🧐 I hope you don't fall out with me over it though. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴 Edit: Clint on reflection I have deleted the YT post but will leave this post up, Cheers DougT Edit2 Just to make amends 🤣 https://youtu.be/0qQqUDQwRV0?si=Ey0YOD3B4uJ_e6KM you know what I'm like with my adverts sense of humour 🧐Edit3 https://youtu.be/dd9zAMdkiZo?si=MCg8q6bvv1V-oEVp just wait for the play off line at the end 😁
Hi Doug! Just getting to SS comments, but no worries about commenting on both…you’re always welcome to, but don’t feel any pressure. Fall out? Oh please. As for the ad and parody: WOW! I can’t imagine how much they spent on that campaign. That Escher print was all the rage through the early-90s. So many of my classmates had it and/or attempted to recreate it. Good times. Cheers to you!
Awesome list. A keeper. I love how you started it with none other than Abe Lincoln. Did he and Josh Fry Speed really have "a streak of lavander"? What about Willi Shakespeare? Was he one of us? Pray tell.😊🏳️🌈
I’m pretty sure Honest Abe and Mr. Speed were more than just roommates. Have you seen Josh? A very handsome/pretty man, if the portrait is to be believed. Abe wouldn’t have been able to resist, right? :-) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joshua_Fry_Speed
Oh Clint! This was a fabulous collection! I love the penises (you know I do), but this absolutely made my week. I am ashamed I knew only 1/3 of the men by sight or name. But, I copied your list and will look them up this weekend on Wikipedia. I'm older than dirt, but not too old to learn something new about those who made it possible for me to live so comfortably. Take care, Clint and have a great weekend. DA
Thanks, Donald! No shame…I didn’t know many more than you starting this project. It’s not like anyone taught most of us this stuff. I graduate from college in the early 90s and only had one “out” professor who dared broach gay history. Kids today have lots more options (if they’re lucky enough to go to a truly liberall arts college/university). I may be an old dog, but I love learning new tricks. :-)
I confess to not recognising most of these men. Your labelling helped me in many cases. I have never been good at remembering names - it is not merely my age. Thank you for the one-line potted biographies for those whom I had never heard of.
No confession needed. I too am terrible with name. Always have been. But I hope the montages are as fun to watch as they are to make. More of these history ones are in the works. :-)
You got it, Craig! I didn’t know many of them either. Some I knew their faces and/or story, but not their names. Some I didn’t know anything. History can be fun…learn as much or as little as you want. Cheers!

As for Shakespeare, he’s already in the rough cut for upcoming parts. ;-)

Great to put some faces to familiar names, well done Clint!
Thanks, Mr. Troy Ford…several more in the works. Glad you enjoyed.
