Packing and planning my clothing needs has never been big to my mind. It has nearly always been a last minute (actual last 30 minute) thing. I've only been on one cruise (around the Med for 4 or 5 days). No dining with the captain. Sharing a cabin with a stranger (I can't remember him so he didn't cause me any hassle). I don't envy your cruise - too many people impacting on my psyche.
Oh, I feel you, Uncle Ray. I usually care less. But something about solo cruising makes me want to at least have all the options with. Sharing a cabin with a stranger? No thanks. I’m lucky there was only a small “solo supplement” for my past couple of cruises. Having my own room is the only way I can imagine doing this. I’m counting my lucky stars…this trip should be FUN! Cheers, my dears.
Nice ship. I was on the Oosterdam several years ago. It was a 10 year anniversary, and we had our worst argument ever on the cruise. I stayed for 3 more years, but when I decided to retire and he decided we needed to live on a ranch, I left. Living on the ranch meant never leaving home.
Sorry about your relationship, but glad you put your needs first. Life’s too short and the world’s too big to just stay home. And I consider myself a homebody! Cheers, my dears.
We haven't met in person, but I'll walk down from my apartment in Queen Anne and wave your ship off, trying to guess which figure waving from the deck rail is you. You can guess which figure waving from the pier is me, though most likely I'll be wearing a straw pork-pie or a black baseball cap.
Dan! I’ll definitely—if I’m able to board—be waving back at you. Wish I had more time in Seattle when I’m back. Would be fun to grab grub with you. But I’ve gotta get to Portland to see some friends before heading back to SoCal. Cheers, my dears!
No worries if we don't have the opportunity to meet up while you are here in the PNW. I was born and raised in Southern California and I'm definitely overdue for a trip back there.
Woot woot, Dan! Please keep me posted when you’re visiting next. I also try to get up here to visit my sister-from-another-mister a couple of times a year. Cheers!
Clint, That many hoodies, really? And underwear advice: commando, reverse wear, sink rinse outs. Have fun. I really am excited to share the cruise with you. Wonder if you will be able to get invited to visit the gay employee parties and/or bar? Fondly, Michael
Okay, maybe not six hoodies, but I probably would have packed that many if they would’ve fit in my bags. lol Fingers crossed, I’ll be posting photos later this afternoon. Cheers!
Just wanted to let you know that I thought about not mentioning the ASS HAT while you were on vacaton but thought that better forewarned just in case. I hoped you would not let it get to you and I was right. My favorite on the buffet was the hand carved beef roast and the shrimp. Fondly, Michael
🚢✨

You've got it! Clint. Will definitely be in touch when I'm done there.

Clint, … the is never a need to pack 6 hoodies 🤪
I’ve never been a “never” kinda guy. Just makes me wanna go buy some more hoodies. Cuz I’m a born contrarian. :-p Cheers, my dears!
Clint, Then I would say you should get as many hoodies as you please! Cool to think I am on the cruise with you! Fondly, Michael
You are. I just replied to a message and now a comment from you. What did you like in the buffet?
