So sorry to know what you've been going through, Clint. And so grateful you've shared it here. An act of real service. Sending you well wishes & appreciation! โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐
Thanks, Keith! Meds are all balanced out finally and Iโm feeling way more myself again. Just enjoying some downtime before we start 2026. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year! Cheers
What a simple but difficult lesson for me to learn. Thank you for the reminder. Especially about my body making me the patient, whether I have patience or not. So glad to be feeling human again. Gearing up for 2026. Iโm forever an optimist and love the possibility of every January 1st. Wishing you happiness and health, my dear Uncle Ray!
Thank you for the New Year message. I do not relate closely to traditional cultural events. I am not a Christian so Christmas has less impact (it also bears no resemblence to the timing of the birth of Yeshua, if he actually existed). Everyday, I am one day older then the day before - birthdays have no significance. Every day is one day more than the day before. The 1st of January is only one day different from 31st December. We need to consider wishing people well every day, being kind, considerate and giving. I will close by hoping that everything you wish for yourself in 2026 comes to fruitition. xxx
Back in the day, my -ex was a wigmaker in Hollywood. I went to visit him and he met me at the airport with a bag of white powdery stuff and announced that we had less that 24 hours to remake 12 wigs by 1pm the next day. 5 KISS wigs and 7 Billy Idol wigs for a Puerto Rican boy band. We toiled through the night and delivered on time to the studio. We were ushered in past big burly bodyguards and several fawning secretaries into Menudo's dressing room where we fitted the boys with their wigs. If I had known that that sweet fourteen year old would grow up to be Ricky Martin I might have slipped him my 'business' card for use later on when he might be legal. Sigh, it's all about timing!!! Thanks for the jolt to my memory and just watching that luscious man do his thing.
Oh myโฆ.what a fun story. I know some wigmakers at LA Opera and how hard it can be to construct one wig, much less 12! Iโm sure lil Ricky Martin appreciated his faux locks and your hard work. Cheers, Dennis!
We were reworking old wigs. Yeah, making them from scratch is a whole 'nother proposition!!!! He also made wigs for Farah Faucett, Mel Brooks and Sam Donaldson (that was the "look" he wanted!!!)
Hah, while he was alive he made me promise not to tell anyone that he made his wigs!!!! But I thought Farah's were magnificent. He was wigmaster for the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis for a while. He was good............ at a lot of things.
These Christmas presents to us have been such fun. I listened to most of these and was particularly enthralled with the 97 mniute piece about Michael Tilson Thomas, which I found fascinating for every single second of it.
Love your motley mix, Steveโฆespecially the Jeanne Cooper clip. I grew up watching her on Y&R (during summer breaks). It was the only soap my mom didnโt watch with me. Good times!
Know, Clint, that you are loved by your chosen family, which includes your readers. Your post makes me wonder which of the (several) drugs I take each day need to be reviewed with my doctor. Also, such a treat to have the rainbow b'days back. You had me at Maestro Tilson-Thomas. Tears.
Thank you so much, Fred. I appreciate the love and support of you and all the lovely peeps who make up the COLLIDE PRESS Crew. Couldnโt have done it without you all. As for your meds, proceed with caution. I had no idea how delicate my own ecosystem is/was. Two pills in the wrong order threw me for a loopโฆfor almost a month. So glad theyโre out of my life (and system). Iโm finally feeling myself again. Hope you and yours are doing great and enjoying the final days of 2026!
Clint, Awkward to click โฅ๏ธ as you describe your prescription reactions. Might I add that after all your: "Don't likes" you could add: "I like that I was aware enough to know something was wrong." "I like that I took myself to the doctor and let it all hang out" "I like that my doctor has helped me gain control over my meds." "I like that I am beginning to feel better." "I am grateful that while I hate having to take meds, they keep my alive and without them, where would I be?" Finally, "I like that my followers love me no matter what and understand when there are absences. We all need down time." Thanks Clint for being who you are! Fondy, Michael
Thank you, thank you, thank you, MichaelโฆI love all your โI likeโ additions. Looking on the bright side isnโt always easy for meโespecially when Iโm not feeling great. So thank you for the reminder that thereโs always something to be grateful for. Cheers!
Ohh Clint I was there a while back. I had let the medics talk me into Statin popping. Ok at first but a gradual spiral down into brain fogs and restless sleep even though I was forever tired etc Good old Dr Google diagnosed Statin wasn't my tass d te. My cholesterol levels weren't that bad I had just let the medics talk me into popping them. Long and short of it I told the medics I was stopping their use and I haven't looked back. As you say advocate for yourself. Hopefully your getting into last minute preparations for Christmas, me I'm a Grinch about the season๐ง Cheers DougT ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐ฌ๐ง
Youโre the second person I know to have warned me about statins in the last couple of weeks. Iโm glad I didnโt go on them. I had enough trouble with other stuff. Luckily, my blood pressure meds seem to be doing their trick. Everything else is now discontinued. Even vitamins are on hold while I get my system rebooted and back on track. Amazing what a delicate ecosystem/chemistry experiment we truly are. I liked believing I was invincible a helluva lot more. Glad you took your health in your own hands and are hopefully feeling yourself more and more by the day. Cheers, my dears!

Thanks, Clint! Happy New Year to you/yours, too!
Know your own body, trust it, be tender towards it, be patient with it or it will make you the patient. Loving you, boo. Today and into the future.

You mean Samโs hair wasnโt natural? hahahaha I was a big fan of that helmet for years. :-p
