Can’t believe how many will be affected by this storm, Paul.
Please be safe and thank you for the kind words.
My first therapist once called me a “mensch” and with my limited understanding of Yiddish thought she was calling me a “schmuck.” We both had a good giggle out of it. Namaste…the light/mensch in me sees the light/mensch in you, Mr. Friedman!
I think you speak for many people! I think your truth is familiar to others! I think I relate to you because of this and it gives me strength to be comfortable in my own skin! I think it is quite normal to change throughout our creative, intelligent lives! Life is change and we shouldn't be forced into being pigeonholed for other's limited perception and comfort!!! Thank You for all that You do!!
There were two La Boheme operas, one from Puccini and one from Leoncavallo, today only known for Pagliacci. I'm curious about Leoncavallo's opera. There's a festival in Wexford, Ireland that presents "orphan" operas that are rarely presented. Jonathan Larson tried to base Rent directly on Murger's work, so I decided to read the source material.🎶🎵❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🎵🎶
Thanks, Doug. The problem is I don't always know what "my" way is. So I throw spaghetti on the wall until it sticks. That's the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it. Uh-huh, uh-huh! :-p Cheers, kind sir. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_uBn4XSteU

Your journey echoes so much of mine, brother - glad to have you in my life. 🧡
Likewise, my dear. Sending virtual hugs to you and yours across the pond. Cheers too!
Thanks Clint ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🎶🎵🎵🎶🖤🤎💜💙💚💛🧡❤️ Currently reading Bohemians of the Latin Quarter by Henri Murger, the source for both La Bohemes and Rent.
That’s awesome, Steve. I didn’t realize La Bohome was based on a book. You teach me so much…thank YOU! Cheers, my dears!!!

Oh - it says I subscribed to you
I’m not sure I understand Substack
But , that’s what it said in a email from you
Understanding Substack and agreeing on everything is SO overrated. :-p Cheers, Mr. Friedman!
A poet-thinker somewhen wrote: "I contain multitudes."
A poet-scavenger decided to quote that here for you.
What writer, growling in the dark, can resist reaching out,
Trying to communicate in many words, or very few, what
Needs to be said. Be it complex of simple, impossible, or
Achievable. Words, thoughts, images, hurtle through days
Doing their Platonic task of making the invisible real, and
Making the real better. Did you but one thing, I'd pity you,
But that's the one impossibility. Only the straitened suffer
Such limitation. You are not thus bound, nor am I, nor are
Your readers, subscribers, friends and even most of your
Enemies. Change happens. People go on being human, for
Nothing can prevent us: not politics, not religion, not ideas
Or ideologies. Where you end is not anywhere: we begin.
Wow, Clarke. You contain multitudes of talent! What a beautiful and kind thing to share. Thank you, thank you!
Be it complex or simple...
Clint/B, do it your own way, whatever that is, as someone once quoted: Be Yourself They'll Adapt. Cheers DougT 🏴🇬🇧

You have always struck me as pretty darn authentic, whatever you've been up to at the time. I'm glad "Clint" is a part of you--I like him.
Lee
Thanks, Lee. I like him too. He’s helped me find my light and voice again. I appreciate you and your kindness! Cheers
