
While recovering from a busy few days gearing up for my āreturnā to our small but mighty MAIN CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (see below), I watched the video above and had a BIG revelation:
MY SHOP WAS FAR TOO COMPLICATED AND WORDY!
LONG STORY SHORT: I went from eight menu options to five, reduced the number of submenus, reorganized the entire site, and hid most of the copy throughout the site. All without deleting a single page. All without (hopefully) breaking a single link.
From my pov, itās sooooo much better. Easier to navigate and understand.
Since the navigation is almost identical to to our other shop ON THREADLESS, new and returning customers should have an easier time finding what theyāre looking for too. Yay!
ON YOUTUBE = MAIN + SECOND/TOO CHANNELS
ICYMI: While on a forced ābreakā on our YouTube Main Channel last week, I decided to start a SECOND/TOO CHANNEL.
Why? Because HAPPY PRIDE!
Also, forced ābreaksā happen and itās good to have options.
Thanks to the help and support of countless folks, the new channel has grown from four subscribers to nearly eight hundred in just over a week. Whoa. So grateful.
In order to fully qualify for YouTube Partner Program, creators need to have 1K Subscribers and 4K Watch Hours (in the last 12 months). Currently, weāre at 817 Subscribers and 4.2K Watch Hours.
Itās hard to believe weāre less than 200 Subscribers from being able to apply. Iām truly humbled by all the love and support from so many kind āstrangers on the internet.ā
