A couple of days ago, I wrote about how much words of encouragement mean to me. Today, I’m diving into the flipside of online comments and commenters—what I like to call “The Ducks and The Duckheads.”
When it comes to strangers on the internet, I have a theory: If it squawks like a duck, it’s probably just another dickhead who feels entitled to bully and harass anyone and everyone. Well, this homo don’t play that.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with both dicks and ducks. But I’m no fan of dickheads. Or their incessant, unnecessary squawking. As a creative who shares my work online, I have been squawked at one too many times recently. So all my fuck budget for the crude and the rude has been spent. I have no time or patience left for their nonsense.
So a friendly reminder: BE KIND…OR REWIND (ELSEWHERE).
At least 80% of folks I hear from seem to have not only common sense but common courtesy and decency. The other 20%…can kindly go tf away.
I refuse to interact with (or tolerate) folks who:
TELL ME HOW HOW OR WHAT TO DO
THINK THEY’RE MY BOSS OR DADDY
WANT TO DEBATE FACTS AND HISTORY
ARE GENERALLY DISAGREEABLE
While I’m always open to constructive criticism, questions, recommendations, and special requests, I am not down with destructive criticism, know-it-all negativity, or O.P.P.D. (Other People’s Personality Disorders). I’m busy working on my own issues and problems. Just like everybody else.
To those focused on spreading love and light in this chaotic, sometimes overwhelming world: THANK YOU…for rocking my world and warming my heart!
To those focused on being a disruptive PITA (Pain In The Ass): ZUCK OFF.
Please don’t take my kindness as weakness. I’m nice…until I’m not. And even I don’t like me when I’m not nice. But anyone who fucks around will find out. No ifs, ands, or dickheads.
Thanks for reading!
Clint

D H. LAWRENCE (1885)
Writer + Artist
Lawrence’s collected works represent, among other things, an extended reflection upon the dehumanizing effects of modernity and industrialization. Some of the issues Lawrence explores are sexuality, emotional health, vitality, spontaneity, and instinct. A heavily censored abridgement of his book Lady Chatterley’s Lover was published in the united states by Alfred A. Knopf in 1928. Paperback editions were published posthumously by Signet Books and Penguin Books In 1946. Lawrence’s fascination with the theme of homosexuality, overtly manifested in women in love, could be related to his own sexual orientation.JEWELLE GOMEZ (1948)
Writer + Cultural Worker
After living in new york city for 22 years, working in public television, theater, as well as philanthropy, Gomez relocated to the west coast. Her writing—fiction, poetry, essays and cultural criticism—has appeared in a wide variety of outlets, both feminist and mainstream. Her work often intersects and addresses multiple ethnicities as well as the ideals of lesbian/feminism and issues. She is currently playwright in residence at New Conservatory Theatre Center. I don't understand why writing something in the comment section gives people the right to say whatever there twisted minds are filled with at that time.I enjoy your videos they are well done and the music is amazing. If I don't say it enough it's because I don't want to be one of those people who never go away. Best of everything Clint.
I am like Mr. Conklin. I don't say something everyday because I don't want to be one of those people who is always here like I don't have my own life or something. Just know I can't imagine finding anything you do as upsetting. People are probably more jealous than upset and can't admit that to themselves. Anyhow, I get the feeling you are a pretty cool guy. Keep it going. Forward always, backward never. Best Tom
