After spending yesterday getting rid of even more stuff, I woke up this morning coughing like a chain smoker. Or, more accurately, like someone who’s very clearly allergic to dust and regrets not dusting more.
Every time I go back to pack, the congestion and coughing kick in like clockwork.
My sinuses are staging a full-on protest. So today I’m taking a face mask and a box of tissues. Maybe a hazmat suit too.
Honestly? I am so over this post-move clean-out. Officially and completely over it.
If only I’d started sooner, maybe I’d be done by now. But alas, I’m a pro procrastinator. It’s a useless skill, but there’s no use in beating myself up now. I’m awake and grateful for the help of two amazing friends. Thank you, Drew. Thank you, Pat.
If you’re tired of hearing me bellyache about moving, I’m almost done. My landlord does the final walkthrough and I hand over the keys on Thursday.
Which means…it’s crunch time. And possibly nap time. But I’ll try to resist. Probably.
By this time next week, I’ll be one 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house lighter—with about 100 pounds of dust in my rearview mirror.
The best is yet to come—but first, there are boxes. So. Many. Boxes.
Time to wake me up before I go-go...back to bed. I’ve got more to move.
Keep calm and carry on!
Clint 🌈✌️

Clint, your nearly there then you can shake your maracas 🥳🎊🍻 and join in with the Madagascar chorus 😎 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴🇬🇧
You have a way with finding so much that makes me laugh. I'd never heard this song before, but I just loved it. Especially how it repeated and repeated the same phrase to the point of silliness, which is exactly why it was so fun! Another treasure you have shared with us.
