Lots of songs in this one. You must have a library of song knowledge in your mind. The first song, was very apropos, but I didn't think much of the song itself. The Mariah Carey one was a great song and video that I had never heard. The next one was great too and I loved the Chick's rendering of "I Hope". In real life, I feel both despondent and disgusted by our dictator-in-chief and equally disgusted that the GOP members of Congress don't have enough guts to befget us out of this before it is not even recoverable.

I share that disgust. All the faux patriotism and rah-rah-rah does little to hide a bunch of selfish dumbasses. But I do my best to pay them as little mind as possible…and stay as far away from dumbasses as not to catch whatever cooties they have. As for music, I have some eclectic tastes. I doubt anyone but me would like it all. :-p

Clint, glad to read that your life seems to be coming back to normality.

You mentioned the corporate world, and there, too, this year should be seen by leaders

and managers as portending bad business conditions, possibly even disastrous. It is already

evident in many businesses.

. We must not allow ourselves to become exhausted or demoralized.

Thank you, Sam. With the help and support of so many, I’m glad to report my health is improving as is my outlook on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Despite evidence to the contrary, I’m a natural contrarian and am determined to live my best life in the middle of the latest political shit storm. Here’s to weathering it and werking the runway like a Supermodel. Sooner or later. :-) Cheers and have agreat weekend, kind sir.

This is beautiful, Clint. Hope here doesn’t feel fluffy. It feels like grit, like defiance, like the stubborn heartbeat that keeps us alive when the world’s trying to crush us. 🌈🔥

Thanks, Gino. Hope can sometimes be a helluva lot more punk rock song than Hallmark card. If you do it right. :-p

Love this Clint, we need to hang on to this for dear life right now. And I love that Lily Allen album too, especially "The Fear" I also love the fact that there has to be a "clean" version!! As we say over here, she can be a bit potty mouthed, but she tells it like it is

Clint Collide's avatar

Thank you, Tracey. I need to check out “The Fear.” I wish she had become more popular here, but the few songs I do know…wow. What a voice. And she knows how to tickle and touch me too. Hugs

Lots of empathy for your determination to carry on, despite many reasons for despair. Our particular reasons for thinking stuff is messed up might differ here and there, but the feeling among those paying attention is nearly universal. Some of us can't help but notice stuff! Corragio ("have courage" in Italian, iirc).

Thank you, dear Clarke. Based on experience, I’d guess we see eye to eye on about 80% of things—and I’m perfectly fine with a few differences. Keeps life interesting.

Sadly, too many people seem to channel their “differences” into bigotry, hatred, or ignorance.

Not you though. Everything I know about you tells me you’re always reasonable and respectable. Thank you for being a friend!
