Fun reading about your experiences with SMS. I saw "Stop Making Sense" as an adult. A group of friends and I were going to see it at a movie theater and I remember thinking that it was stupid to go see a concert at a theater. I also was not a fan of concerts of any kind and never attended them. Missed the Beetles, etc. By the time SMS was underway, I was dancing in my seat and at times jumping up and dancing with the hundreds of others in the theater. What an amazing experience and an amazing concert. Also have watched "True Stories" at least half a dozen times. Need I say I am a fan of David Byrne? Fondly, Michael
Not exactly my era, but I guess I know what you experienced. Flower Power, "Hair," (later Rocky Horror) and the hippy scene gave me "permission" to challenge convention and conservatism. On the pop scene it was Bowie's Ziggy Stardust that triggered me to be more outrageous (outside work - after all I was a professional clinical psychologist by then).

I always knew you had great taste. Iβm glad we share a fondness for Mr. Byrne. Heβs a treat. And I really need to rewatch both films soon. Cheers!

I love that there are several generations of artists like David Bowie and David Byrne that entertain and inspireβ¦outside the box. Cheers, my dears!
