🌈Thanks for posting this Clint. This is even better than I remember from childhood. I think it's an old Vaudeville routine they used on their TV show maybe clips from some movies or something that they were putting on television when there was very little content available. very oddly a friend and I were just talking about this a few weeks ago. he had a fall recently and is wearing a neck brace and I have been telling him to be careful when he turns and he started in on this routine. synchronicity much.
My cousin Carolyn was born with hip dysplasia. and since her mother was almost always pregnant by my abusive uncle who wanted a son but kept getting more daughters. Carolyn was always praising my father for helping her learn to walk so she could go to school.
eventually a son was born but unfortunately he was disabled and was put in an institution in Dixon Illinois and never even learned to walk. He was the closest to me in age and I'm actually in a home movie with him and the family. my grandmother seems to be taking care of both of us. in the movie she hits me cuz I was reaching for something maybe Johnny had pooped. we were both very young. I was toddling but Johnny, a little older was in one of those little red wagons they used to have in those days.
I sometimes watch a channel called busy Brown angel because the lady looks like my cousin Carolyn when she was young and she is now 82 years old. My Aunt Florence was quite fond of me because I always stood up to this abusive husband when nobody else would. he like to have stupid nicknames for everyone my nickname was Book of No Knowledge. I worked for him in one of his businesses for many years eventually he sold the business for about a million bucks after he had bought the shares of stock that my mother and my brother Tommy owned.
sorry for the long post. Edits that I made didn't stick for some reason🏳️🌈
Family moved to Fort Worth area many many years ago. My brother in law worked for Tandy Corp and he was promoted to VP in Charge of Personnel. Fondly, Michael
Very cool. I remember Tandy and Texas Instruments being two of the biggest employers in the area when I was growing up. The DFW metroplex has grown so big I hardly recognize it when I visit.
Clint. I used to visit twice a year when my folks were alive and my sister and her husband were living there. Now that everyone is gone, I never visit TX. May I say "I hated visiting TX?" FOndly, Michael
Yes, you may. I hate visiting Texas too. Haven’t been back since 2021 and don’t have desire or plans to go back. Though I probably will sooner or later. Maybe. :-p
I am probably one of the few, but I absolutely love thick shag carpeting and sculpture plush is a strong second. With that out of the way just wait until you hit 67! My massage therapist comes over once a month and it's half hour stretch and 1 hour massage. That's my day. No cooking, cleaning or clothes washing! It's just my couch day with the cat. My therapist is blonde and an ex Marine........Straight like your chiropractor and his wife is lovely.
Clint, you have to treat yourself to some luxurious self care. Seriously I am sorry for your pain and glad it's subsiding. Enjoy your new trip around the Sun 🌞
Thank you, Eric. Your massage therapist sounds…intimidating in way that I’d want to date him. lol I’m sure his wife would be okay with it, right?
I’m considering a monthly massage package. Self-care is really important. Cheers, Erik, thanks for the recommendation. And my parents eventually replaced the shag with sculptural plush. I had forgotten what they called it. Brown brown everywhere brown plush. I liked the avocado green shag better.
Okay. As you age, time tends to speed up (Surely not another week/month/year already?). Remember the tortoise? Learn to win the race, get the prize, hear the cheers - slowly but steadily.
No. You are getting older. The reason is more complex than this simple example but it will do as an idea. When you are 10, a year is the tenth of your entire life, waiting for Christmas is an eternity. At 54? Pah! A 54th of your life ... what Christmas already?
"Slow down, You move too fast, Got to make the morning last... Life I love you, Feeling groovy."
Clint, Feel better fast. At 81+ I have been going to Physical Therapy for my knee, hip, balance, etc. In my case I am not complainig because I woke up this morning! Maybe I should go to a chiropractor? Fondly, Michael
Sounds like you’ve got a good thing going, but I get benefit from my chiro. There’s a chain here called The Joint that offers an affordable subscription ($90/month) that includes 4 adjustments per month. Looks like there are some in the Chicago area too, if you’re interested in checking them out. First consultation, exam, and adjustment is only $29. No obligation to join. https://www.thejoint.com/chicago
This just gives me one more excuse for keeping a regular schedule with my massage therapist where my glutes and hamstrings get thoroughly worked over. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!
Dr. Simon is a sight for sore eyes. And sore everything else. I’m keeping him as long as possible. But I wouldn’t mind finding a massage therapist too. Seeds planted…now I gotta find someone. Cheers!

Woops Clint I missed this post 😵💫 hope the ginger wonder gets your joint fixed fast. Cheers DougT🏴 🇬🇧
Hahahaha…being a ginger, he’s automatically fixed some things. But my knee is feeling a whole lot better too,! 👻😎🔥
Yes Matron!
Clint, Funny. My Nephew-in-law, on Gregory's side, and his now divorced wife (TMI) own four or five "Joints" in the Texas area. Fondly, Michael
I’m a big fan so far. The local joint has at least two really talented chiropractors. I tend to see the ginger just because he’s pretty too! :-p
What part of Texas? I’m originally from Dallas. Cheers, my dears!

So the speeding up thing isn’t my imagination!

Shaking my groove thing, Uncle Ray. Slowly and surely, or my one favorite aunts wasn’t named Shirley. :-p Cheers, my dears!

In this case, you don't have to visualise. Just imagine or sense the pressures, feel the sensations, of hands and fingers on your body.
