Dunno about you, but this week has really zoomed by. It’s been filled with creative breakthroughs as well as lots of news most of us can’t use. So we’re keeping this short, sweet, and random as Zuckerberg and brain worms combined.
Yesterday, I licensed one of my favorite songs (through Lickd) from the 1980s for a video montage I made yesterday for our YouTube channel. Now just gotta relax and keep my fingers crossed Universal Music Group approves the video.
Don't not approve it, UMG...so I can RELAX!
(UPDATE: THEY APPROVED!!!)

Truth In (Re)Branding. I updated Meta’s logo and name as a reaction to the company’s metastatic corporate culture of bullshit.
I’ve all but given up on Threads, the latest platform Meta seems determined to ruin, after a decent launch. For us, it was pretty okay…while it lasted.
Between their constant censorship and shadow banning, I’ve had it. At least Bluesky and Xitter both allow NSFW content.
While I’m an old dog who prefers casual, traditional vernacular, I do occasionally fall in love with a new-to-me phrase or saying. The latest is “vibe check.” Vibes (and vibez) make me think of Deee-Lite and other retro/psychedelic delights.
Got a comment the other day on YouTube that our channel didn’t pass their “vibe check.” I wrote back their comment didn’t pass ours. And then I deleted the comment. Cuz…vibez.
Long story short, we’re not all gonna “vibe” with all things. Oh. Well. Life goes on.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Less Meta is Mo'Betta. I agree.
