I had a very similar history of Harry Potter spectacles, more grown up frames then contacts at 23, contact prescription changes, reading spectacles, computer screen spectacles. Then, as Michael said, the very beginning of cataracts. Expensive (not like in the US though) surgeries on both eyes, with soft lens insertions and I could see better than I had ever had in my life for any distance. They also diagnosed the beginning of macular degeneration but I haven't noticed anything ensuing from that in the past 5 years.
Oh. My. Gah! I didn’t watch the show very often, so this is a new-to-me clip. Was great seeing the late, great Kevin Aucoin sitting in Cher’s booth. And her trying not to laugh through the whole scene was…priceless! Thank you for sharing, Steve!
I understand that one's eyes do get better as one ages. Did for me. Then cataracts arrived. Two surgeries. Seeing now almost perfectly! So there are gifts to getting older!
I love knowing I’m not the only one on the eyesight improvement. While I don’t look forward to the cataracts, I’m way okay with getting older. Men like you do it with class and grace…fun too! :-*
Duhh that's a reminder I need to get an eye test, the opticians are regularly sending 'were sorry to not have seen you for a while' emails. Now I'm not sure what 'prgressive' lens are. Over here we have Varifocal lens which are for reading and distance in the same lens, saves needing to change glasses between reading and distance. Over here an eye test is subsided by the NHS and lens/frames are basic under NHS services. However it's a customers paradise of prescribing opticians with special offers etc of non NHS glasses. I need a reading prescription these days so have tinted light reacting Varifocal glasses.. I guess I did too much wanking as a lad and......and ruined my eyesight and developed hairy palms 😲🤔 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴🇬🇧
Sounds like progressives and Varifocal are the same thing, Doug. Now get thee an appointment and keep those peepers healthy! It makes looking at all the boys so much more fun… :-p
I might need to look into getting a Yiddish dictionary. Being born and raised in the south, I didn’t know any Jewish folks until I was in my twenties. Oh how I missed so much great culture and food! I’ve made up for some of those lost years since…but I’m game to catch up more. :-p
Oh my….
Hope my right hand doesn’t get too many more calluses
I just don’t know if I can take in all 100
Oy gevault ( worse than Oy vey )
😜 Paul, didn't you get the old spook warnings as a kid to leave your dick alone or else you'll go blind and your palms will get hairy 😎🥴😯
Warning signs? I don’t even read instructions! hahaha
Those teaser videos ???
I think my eyesight just improved a bit
Thankyou
Hahaha…there are well over 100 similar videos in the archive. :-p
Oh yeah
Let’s hear it for the nerds
We pave the way for the rest !
We do indeed. Nerd IS the word! Cheers, Paul…
Clinton - Youre not just getting old … YOURE GETTING BETTER !!!
At around 50 , I starting seeing better long distant and less better up close
Was told it does happen
Was told - hey , it comes with age
I also became “ smarter “ ( stopped listening to people who couldn’t cheer me up , cheer me onwards or refused to be in my corner now and then )
Just remember / not everything is forever … both good and bad
Change , both good and bad is inevitable
FYI - no matter my prescription- I still like to take my glasses off when reading - crazy , but I see better
Take care
Eat your fiber
Live well at the least

All great reminders…thank you, Paul!

Regarding today's Man Crush of the Day: all that talent, as well as beauty, and he's wearing a Star of David! Such a mensch!
Writing of mensches, cheers to your eyesight and you, Clint, from your fan who's been sporting progressives for YEARS. Smile.
As one mensch to another
So very kind of you
Yiddish is such a great underground language !
Still learning
Be safe out there
