As an independent, sensitive Southern ~~Baptist~~ Sissy (and LGBTQ creative), I have always walked the fine line between stubbornness and open-mindedness.

On one hand, I’m fiercely protective of my vision, often resisting changes that feel like they might dilute my work. But on the other hand, I’ve learned (the hard way) that being too rigid can stifle creative and personal growth and alienate those who support me and my work the most.

External input (done right) encourages discovery and evolution. It also helps keep us grounded when our wild minds turn feral. So whether it’s a new idea for a project, a different way to approach a design, or just a word of encouragement, I’m all art, ears, and heart.

All I ask is to kindly remember the “first rule” of Collide Press:
BE KIND…OR REWIND (ELSEWHERE).

After yesterday’s post about patronage, several folks emailed to suggest I open an account on Ko-Fi. Seems my Shop’s support page didn’t work for some folks. So after some research, I realized Ko-Fi was a great option and got it set up.

Thanks to those who recommended it…I’m excited to see where it leads.

Being an open-minded creative doesn’t mean I’ll always agree with or take action on every piece of advice. But it does mean I’m committed to listening, learning, and adapting in ways that feel true to who I am and what I create.

So please keep the recommendations and special requests coming.
