For those who enjoy the "inside baseball" of YouTube, here's a quick look at the numbers for last month.

Overall, October 2024 was a relatively good rollercoaster ride, far steadier than the previous couple. Growth has slowed down, but growth is growth, and I’m grateful for every view, minute watched, and new subscriber:

Total Views = 543.9K (-11% month-over-month)
Mostly due to doing almost no Shorts, October was a bit quieter on the view count, but I’m optimistic about new content ideas for November to keep things fresh and engaging.
Watch Time (Hours): 36.1K (+4.6% month-over-month))
Even with fewer views, watch time increased. It’s a great indicator of viewer interest and satisfaction. Makes me excited for my current content plans.
Subscribers: +799 (-down 43% month-over-month)
While a significant decline, I appreciate every new subscriber. Fewer new YouTube subscribers is likely a result of focusing on growing on Substack. Regardless of platform, delivering work subscribers enjoy is my goal.
Revenue: (+17% month-over-month)
Without sharing financial details, let me say how grateful I am to have a growing number of paid subscribers on Substack. Their support allows me to keep doing what I love…without worrying as much about the monthly fluctuations in Google Adsense the constant nonsense of YouTube “community guidelines.”

While my YouTube channel is small in comparison to most of the creators I watch, I’m honored so many people to spend their time watching my work and engaging with the community.

Thanks for taking a peek behind the scenes. It’s all part of my content creator journey, and your support makes it all worthwhile.
