Earth Day rolls around every year, reminding us to appreciate the beauty, power, and fragility of our planet. We may post photos of forests and oceans, share quotes about nature, plant a tree, and/or pick up trash.
But Mother Earth deserves more than a day of admiration or a few small gestures.
She doesn’t just need symbolic acts—she needs a lifeline.
And Father Time? He’s watching. He’s been ticking steadily, patiently, while we burn through our resources, pollute our skies, and gamble with our future.
He’s not angry—but he’s not slowing down either. Tick tock, tick tock.
The truth is, we’ve been gifted a rare and beautiful home. One that nourishes us, grounds us, and gives us life—literally. But love for this planet has to be more than poetic. It needs to be practical. It needs to be personal. And it needs to be NOW!
This Earth Day, don’t just celebrate the planet—commit to it. Rethink your habits. Speak up for sustainable policies. Support eco-conscious businesses. Reduce what you waste and increase what you cherish.
Keep calm and keep it eco-friendly!

“Life is a rotten lottery. I've had a pretty amazing life, a good life, and God knows I'm thankful, but I do believe that after 30, stop whining! Everybody's dealt a hand, and it's not fair what you get. But you've got to deal with it.”
John Waters
“I thank God I was raised Catholic, so sex will always be dirty.”

Thanks Clint. I enjoyed watching the tulips blooming today. A friend planted a hackelberry tree, which butterflies love. I saw a beautiful leafy dandelion which would make a whole salad.
On the other hand, I filed a complaint with the village about the McMansions all getting their lawns sprayed at the same time. A perfect lawn is a poisoned lawn. I prefer clover and strawberry plants.
