Most mornings, I wake up early, sit out on the patio with a book, and wonder what the day might bring.
And then there are mornings like today.
Today is one of those Manic Mondays.
The kind of morning where I wake up a little later than usual and my brain is already making lists before I even roll out of bed. Suddenly all the little tasks that have been floating around in my head start lining up like little duckies, waiting to be put in their proper places.
And honestly, I don’t mind a day like this. Especially on a Monday.
There’s something deeply satisfying about getting organized. About taking all the random bits and bobs of my life and putting them into some kind of order. Emails answered. Calendar checked. Notes sorted. Projects nudged forward.
Nothing earth-shattering. Just progress.
Today, the things lingering on my to-do list will finally get the attention they deserve. The small stuff. The big stuff. And everything in between.
Little by little, box by box, my to-do list gets done.
Every time I cross something off the list, I feel a little jolt of electricity. Suddenly the next tasks don’t seem so daunting. The gears start turning and my engine warms up. Before I know it, I’m moving from one thing to the next, doing this, that, and the other thing with surprising efficiency.
Momentum is a funny thing. Once it gets rolling, it tends to keep rolling.
Of course, not every Monday arrives with this kind of energy. Some Mondays drag their feet. Some Mondays show up looking like they need a nap before breakfast.
So when a productive Manic Monday shows up, I do my best to lean into it by:
Riding the wave. 🌊
Sending the emails. 📧
Making the lists. 📋
Returning the calls. ☎️
Organizing the folders. 🗂️
Moving the projects one step closer to the finish line. ⌛️
Progress rarely comes from giant heroic leaps. More often, it grows out of small bursts of action and energy. A handful of boxes checked. A couple of loose ends finally tied up. A few little duckies lined up neatly in a row.
Nothing glamorous.
But by the end of the day, I will have tackled a good chunk of my list. Somehow, the chaos will feel calmer. The path forward will look clearer. And the weight on my shoulders will feel lighter.
So here’s to Manic Monday productivity.
I got this. You got this. We got this!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a few more duckies to rope and wrangle, cowboys.
Keep calm and carry on!

P.S. For those keeping score, the first thing on my to-do list is finishing new montages for both Substack and YouTube. Thank you for your patience!
