Since Sunday, when I realized our YouTube channel, was getting some love from Al, The God Of Algorithms, I’ve been waking up and checking YouTube Studio for both analytics and comments.
It’s a fun way to see if our montages are still striking a chord. It’s also a good way to see how we might improve our work. (“Slow down” we can work with. “Those guys aren’t gay” are not. Most comments are delightful and heart-warming though.)
Every day (so far) has definitely brightened my day and my outlook.
Like disco queen Sylvester in their heyday, it makes me feel real, Mighty Real!
While I realize this trend likely won’t last—as the good Al giveth, the good Al can also taketh away—I’m choosing to stoke this fire and strike while the irons are hot.
To keep our new subscribers (and Al) happy, we’ve been busy making and uploading a fresh set of montages and slideshows to playlists:
While most of social media feels rather flat, YouTube (at the moment) feels rather fat.
As an added bonus, we’re on the verge of being eligible for the first tier of YouTube’s Partner Program. So we plan to keep stoking that video fire. And feeding Google's algorithmic beast until further notice. Or until further inspiration.
Maybe Al is the name of our Muse? Too soon to tell.
We already have a couple new videos in the works, set to premiere later today.
Cuz playlists and video editing make me/we feel MIGHTY REAL!
If you haven’t already, we cordially invite you to Like + Subscribe on YouTube.
Thanks for reading!
