Feeing YouTube Real, Mighty Real

Yesterday morning, I woke up to some great news:
YouTube accepted our channel into its Partner Program.
In case you don’t know what that means: We’re monetized!!!

After almost a year on the platform, our Like + Subscribe Realness journey truly kicked into overdrive when a slideshow/montage we made went semi-viral.

Seems we’re not the only ones who love gay love and vintage photography.

Our YouTube Year In Review

As of this morning, Love Is Love #1 has 119K views. Well over a third of our channel’s total lifetime views. With most of those views in the last three weeks.

It’s far from our best video. But it’s popular and has taught us a ton. Both what works and what doesn’t. For better (and worse), We’ve been making more videos and trying new things. Our YouTube “strategy” is pretty simple:

• IDEATE

• CREATE

• CURATE

• ITERATE

Only time will tell which videos will work and which videos won’t.

In the meantime, we’re excited to keep celebrating this win.
And making more videos we hope both YouTube’s Algorithm and Audiences enjoy.
