Someone, somewhere once told me that FINE isn’t just a word—it’s an acronym:
Fucked Up
Insecure
Neurotic
Emotional
And after yet another doozy of a “news” day—can we please just get one weekend off from the all the fuckery?—I’m feeling mighty, mighty F.I.N.E. How bout you?
Rather than spiral over the latest clusterfuck Chump and his cult of clowns have dragged us into, I decided to take a detour. A step back into the past.
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with breathing a little life into some vintage photos. With the help of AI, of course. A little experiment in distraction and reanimation.
Here are two variations of one of my all-time favorite images of Reg Park…
Making short, visual non sequiturs like these keeps my mind just busy enough, giving it something to focus on while the world keeps spinning into chaos and destruction.
The present feels unbearable and the future unpredictable, so looking back to the past for hope and solace is the only way I see forward. For now.
“Everything in life is only for now…”
AVENENUE Q Cast
‘For Now’ is a bittersweet reprise of ‘It Sucks to be Me.’ Although it is not a grand finale, 'For Now’ reminds us to appreciate the joys and endure the sadness we currently experience, and acknowledge that all is fleeting, a lesson that makes life seem all the more precious. Many people never find their purpose, but life goes on, and everything—both good and bad—is "only for now.”
From Genius
Are you feeling F.I.N.E. too, boo?
Keep calm and carry on!
