Last week, Hugh Nini and Neal Treadwell, the photo-collecting couple behind “LOVING: A Photographic History of Men in Love 1850-1950” commented on several of my montages on YouTube.

Their comments were short, sweet, and full of encouragement. It’s a pleasure to connect with them and help share their wonderful photo collection with the world.

After exchanging a couple of friendly emails with the gents, I ran across a video about their own love story. And it turns out they met in the first gay nightclub I ever went to.

It was a reminder how small the world and how interconnected we all are. So I made the video above to celebrate our new parasocial friendship.

That’s my short (but hopefully sweet) story this hot summer day.
