Absolutely was feeling this all week. Lots of walking around in circles, both literally and metaphorically. Even when not consuming a lot of news (I don't), I can feel it. The ether is clogged with chaos, confusion, cruelty. Keep calm and carry on, indeed. 🐢
I dunno if it might help you, but with so much funk in the world, I’ve been listening to George Michael’s “Too Funky” on repeat all week. Reminds me of the 1990s. Simpler times. Sorta. :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ2DVwSVIIo
I resonate with this. A general overarching sense of grief and turbulence. I haven’t felt this far off in 20 years, a real rough patch as they say. Today, it doesn’t help that the world is at a turning point where extraordinary skill in economics and diplomacy are essential. But instead the whole of the post wwII western liberal order (such as it was but did allow us to fight and win rights & legitimacy in society) is now lead by malevolent cretins. The real threats are not our imagination.
Additional interesting context:
The sun is at grand maximum and that seems to align with turbulent societal stresses.
I like this young fella Stefan Burns the geophysicist for a variety of reasons; I have no association with him whatsoever. His meditation near the end is quite good. He’s 90% geophysicist and 20% Astro-shaman. He really gives 110% 😁 I found it informative and hopeful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC6QQwQNpOQ
Thanks for the video recommendation and sharing your pov, Terry. It’s a tough time for most of us. I try to remember time is like a pendulum and that the cretins are likely to get knocked in the head on the next swing. With Karma on our side. :-)
Indeed karma is on our side! PS love the GIF image at the top 😁
In the unlikely event you are wondering why I don’t simply hit the Like button on your reply, my iOS is out of date so the substack app stopped working & won’t let me Like individual comments 🤪
Thanks Clint 🌈and Nate Berkus🌈 and Happy Birthday Baz Luhrmann. Funny I was just writing you about Des'ree in William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, by Baz Luhrmann. 🎵🎹🏳🌈👀

This was perfect, thanks Clint...if nothing else, the kitsch of back then somehow confirms that the reality of today truly *is* weird AF. 😵💫
Sexy swayin' sailor snippet!!!!
Thanks Clint!!
