I went directly to your link to Mr. Mraz's classic song. What a pleasure it was to reacquaint myself with this lovely song and performance. Thanks for doing my work for me!
You’re very welcome, David. I’ve been a big fan of Jason since I had the chance to see him almost every week here in LA before he got his (first?) record deal. It was exciting to see him popularity quickly grow from just a few of us in an empty restaurant to a jam-packed coffee shop across from the Chateau Marmont. A truly decent guy and I’m thrilled he’s still performing his own music all these years laters. Here’s a show he did in San Diego around the same time…classic Mr. A To Z: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTT21cm4TdQ
Awesome. It has a ton of banter. He and Toca (the percussionist) were always cutting up between songs. I miss those days. So simple and fun. Perhaps I’ll go to one of his bigger shows one day, but I will miss buying him a beverage and hearing his latest antics between songs. His success is well-earned. Glad he’s still trucking…the music business is not for the faint of heart. :-)
Thanks Clint. At that children's art exhibit we were just talking about a few days ago, I saw a toddler in a blue jean outfit. I said to her mom, Blue Jean Baby, there's a song about her, Tiny Dancer. That's been playing in my head a lot ever since. Also, Transatlanticism, by Death Cab...I need you so much closer... repeat x100. Listened to Schubert for 2 hours today.
On The Templars. see Barbara Tuchman's A Distant Mirror. I bought the Cathar Tarot at the Half Price Bookstore. The Hermit, me, is The Grail Knight. Better than a sloth in the White Sage Tarot, with many cute little creatures.
My favorite O. Wilde quote: True friends stab you in the front. At the end of a French video called "Questions" with many images, done to the music of Bloc Party's Blue Light, there was a Wilde quote in French: On a conscience avant, On prend conscience apres. My guess was that this is from De Profundis, but it's just another unsolved mystery to me.
Love. Light, Health, Happiness, Strength and Peace to all.
THIS is the reason I love doing what I'm doing...such sage and wise words, Clarke. You're a gem and gent. Thank you for sharing words of wisdom. I'm grateful for all the "universal solvent" I have been given (and hopefully given back). Cheers! 🌈

I've started the show and will watch the whole thing over the next day or two. Thanks so much! I expect to find it fascinating.

Love is the universal solvent. Terrifying at times, always to be respected, yet always to be sought.
Get on with your LC fanboy self. Go, Doug, Doug!
