Yesterdayās post about the artist/illustrator J.C. Leyendecker ended up inspiring what was to become one of my most productive days in recent history.
It was such a good day creatively and professionally that I decided to celebrate today by launching a HAPPY PRIDE SALE: Through Sunday, get 20% off everything in our Main Shopā¦including Pride merch!
Hereās a quick rundown of what all I got up to that has me so celebratory:
Based on the newsletter post, I ended up making a new montage featuring of some of my favorite Leyendecker art. These types of videos havenāt done so well for us in the past, but I felt compelled. This one already has over 4K viewsā¦on our four-day-old SECOND/TOO CHANNEL.
After posting that video and doing some shop research, I needed time to doodle and noodle. So I finished ANOTHER PHOTOMONTAGE Iāve been working on for a while. I was optimistic it would do at least okay on our new channel. With over 8K views in under 24 hours, I think itās safe to say itās done better than just okay.
Both of these are unexpected receptions, especially since Iām technically on a forced ābreakā from our main, monetized channel.
If YouTubeās Al/Algorithm continues showing this kind of love, we might have two monetized channelsā¦sooner rather than later.
Dreams can come true, even for small creators like myself.
Speaking of dreams coming true, a fellow Fourthwall shop owner showed me how to add one of the only features the platform doesnāt (currently) offer: Search.
Long, nerdy story short: COLLIDE PRESS SHOP is now searchable!
It was exactly easy, but it wasnāt exactly brain surgery either. In the process, I got to put on my thinking cap and exercise my inner Tim āMake It Workā Gunn.
Soā¦in celebration of Pride, Search, AND YouTube: 20% OFF EVERYTHING!
Whether itās before, during, and after Pride, we are always grateful to those who choose to spend their LGBTQ (and Ally) dollars with independent, small businesses. Especially LGBTQ-owned businesses, including (but not limited to) ours.
Thanks for reading!

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
On the subject of growing, ROBIN TAYLOR does a beautiful job (as always) of illustrating (and narrating) how slow growth can be hard work but so rewarding.
