Loved your haiku. I'm pathetic at attempting poetry or any other form of publicated material. I also want to note the inclusion of World Hemophilia Day. I have a son who has hemophilia. Most people don't realize that there are actually several different causes of hemophilia besides the classic cause of the most common - low clotting factor 8, as is the cause of my son's and is by far the most common form. In addition, few realize that there are 3 levels of hemophilia -- severe, moderate, and mild. The severe form is the one that most people know, as they are the ones who suffer so vary much from spontaneous bleeds and the joint problems that inevitably develop. The mild form is just that, so mild that the patient never has any spontaneous bleeding or even bleeding from most injuries, but can have serious bleeding if undergoing surgical procedures. The moderate form, which is the one my son has, also don't have spontaneous bleeds, but falls, ankle twists, and other mild trauma virtually always result in joint bleeds that require treatment. They also must always have treatment before any dental or physical surgery in order to avoid problems. Even with treatment, many, including my son, eventually develop very bad joints, particularly in the ankle, knee, and hip. Treatment now is very effective, but also grotesquely expensive. As a large man adult, one single treatment can cost about $25000 and sometimes treatment is needed for as many as 3-5 consecutive days. Thought our readers might find this info helpful in better understanding the condition.
Thank you for the education about hemophilia, David. Wishing you and your son all the best. You’re obviously a good dad and a wonderful advocate. Cheers!
Wowsa…those were some thick accents—all overlapping—but I would pay good money to see this remade with an all-drag cast. Fierce! Thanks for sharing, Doug!
Sounds poetic to me, dear Doug! And I'm far from an expert, but I always think of haikus as more about the visual than the auditory. And we know how much I love visuals. :-p

Thornton Wilder:
"The stuff of which masterpieces are made drifts about the world waiting to be clothed in words."
Lovely quote!
Soft cinnamon skin
Hot hardness taut with passion
Pearls splash upon flesh
Fervent lips on mine
Sayonara sweet prince
Until tomorrow
Love it, Ray. Thanks for playing and making the world more poetic!

Love it, love it…both versions. Thought the “live” tv performance might be my favorite. Those unplugged keyboards take me BACK! :-p
