Friendly Reminders
When Others Get Disrespectful...Clint Can/Will Get Medieval
With so many new subscribers in the last monthāthank you!āa few too many unkind comments lately, I think itās time for a friendly reminder of how we do comments here at Collide Press:
Be kindā¦or rewind (elsewhere).
Keep it above the belt.
Opinions and tastes are not facts.
Celebrate differencesādonāt debate them.
Iām all about Showing Love + Shutting Down BS.
Wrote a post about it. Wanna read it? Here ya go.
Weāre all grown-ass adults, so letās act like it. Cool? Cool.
I suggest rude dudes and no-you-donāt-know-it-alls to stfu and learn some manners. Iām niceā¦until Iām not. Donāt fuck around and donāt find out. Please and thank you.
ON DOLLARS + COMMON SENSE
Now that little piece of housekeeping is done, Iād also like to recommend you review your bills. All of them. And push back on the ones that keep creeping up, charging more without giving you more. We have to be our own advocates, right?
Yesterday, after almost a decade, I canceled my Internet serviceā¦after discovering the company was charging me more than double for less than half of what I found another provider was offering.
Business is businessā¦and some businesses donāt deserve our money.
In my case, it was Spectrum. Bye, Spectrum.
May the cord-cutting trend continue. Couldnāt happen to a worse industry IMO.
Also, how many streaming services does one personāmeāneed? Bye, Netflix.
Keep it kind and letās unwind!

HOLIDAYS + OBSERVANCES
PORTRAIT + QUOTE OF THE DAY
About his youth and working for Walt Disney:
"We thought we were always going to be 21 years old. We thought we would always be putting goldfish in the bottled drinking water, balancing cups of water on the light fixtures, changing the labels on cans of sauerkraut juice. We were 21 years old, Walt was 30, leading the pack. Working there was more fun than any job I could ever imagine."
Ward Kimball
Well said Clint. I gave up all three of my streaming sites about 3 months back and haven't missed them in the least, not even once. Just never had time to watch. So, I figured if I really can't resist the urge to see a particular film I can pay for and stream it separately as almost everything can be found somewhere on line without a monthly contribution to the already overpaid and often ill-conceived. Side note, in more than three months I still haven't found it necessary to actually buy one. Again, Thanks for all that you do, a.
Yes, and yes! Life is too short to spend it being a jerk. Really! Thank you for the reminder to check my spending, including the subscriptions that I never or rarely use.
