Having a large handful of artists and art lecturers in my life history, I have learnt to appreciate (though not necessarily to like) a much wider compass of art. I have no work or financial pressure to be arty but I have drawn, painted in oils, acrylics and water; I have composed music and written novels and short stories. All for my own entertainment, exploration and delight. In any case, I am sufficiently open-minded for friends to teasingly suggest that I risk my brains falling out of my lidless skull.

I too have similar views and friends. They’re a hoot, huh?

Love light health and strength to all. My walking buddy Sharik came back from a big wedding in India today. Lots of hugs. His wife seemed a little miffed that we spent so much time talking on the front porch. I got the message. He needed his rest after the flight.

Yesterday met and had a walk and talk with another Sandy, a work colleague from years ago, and asked about her sister Mary. Mary had passed, most likely from complications from covid and her other medical issues. She had moved into assisted living around 2016, and so did her manfriend Leon, who went to HS with that "nerd" Hillary Clinton. I lost track of them.

The day before, I met with, not another Michelle, but My Michelle, Michelle M-E, the only person from the past who immediately recognized me although she had not seen the progression of my beard at all. That was a very happy day. I doubt Michelle Marie Phillips will ever read this, or my beautiful cousin Michelle, or Mark's little daughter Michelle, or any other Michelle.

Writing, no, I just don't feel up to it today.

I'm doing a lot of writing today so I guess I am feeling artsy-fartsy. However I am lost if I don't feel it often enough so I try to keep at it every day.

Go, Dan, go! I’m on the verge of rejoining one of my favorite museums…that happens to be within 15 minutes of my house. Just so I can go and roam the galleries when I need some inspiration.

Exactly in every word. Interestingly this particular note from you follows my enthusiasm about your choice of the music accompanying your visual compilations. I have never been a connoisseur of jazz other than maybe Dixieland, Blues, and Honkytonk but somehow you manage to find pieces that I would never otherwise have given a listen and I am astonished to find that they are not only listenable but both extremely enjoyable and memorable, even somehow familiar though I can never figure out quite why or from where.

Well said, Clint - love the open minded approach to art (or anything.)
