Today is Bobby McFerrin’s birthday.
His 1988 song “Don’t Worry Be Happy” still manages to put a smile on my face after all these years.
The music video, co-starring Robin Williams and Steve Martin, still cracks me up.
A trio of professional goofballs, all of whom I consider creative geniuses.
I was today year old when I found out about a collaboration (likely recorded around the time “Don’t Worry Be Happy” was released) between Robin Williams, Bobby McFerrin, and Beatles’ producer Sir George Martin to remake “Come Together.”

On the subject of “be happy,” we tend to focus too much on the “happy” part and forget about the “be” part of the equation.
I’ll let you extrapolate how they may or may not fit your current circumstances and life. But it’s a good reminder to myself for sure.

Arting. Editing. Learning. Playing. Writing.
Amongst those, the first and last are always on the menu. Bookends of a “good” day.
The middle section are optional, but recommended, making even “bad” days better.
The common denominators are Creativity and Curiosity.
