Founded on the principles of creativity, diversity, and education, Collide Press launched in April 2023 on Etsy. Then on YouTube. Then on Zazzle. And then on...
As my friends got busy with full-time jobs and other passion projects, what began as a collaborative creative collective of LGBTQ creators and makers gradually morphed into what I now affectionately call a "one-man band."
Until yesterday, Collide Press consisted mainly of two online shops, two YouTube channels, and this Substack, which has become my creative home base.
One of my goals for Collide Press has always been to celebrate and spotlight LGBTQ history and stories. However, as I’ve navigated various platform limitations and mixed male-centric (sometimes NSFW) creative work with historical posts, I’ve realized this approach isn’t quite working.
So, long story short—I’m in the process of separating the two.
Last night, I launched a new Substack called Queer Pioneers, where I’ll be posting about the queer heroes, icons, pioneers, and trailblazers who’ve help make history.
NOTE: Queer Pioneers has been reunited with Collide Press.
Queer Pioneers is now Pioneers + Pride.
I’ve already begun moving some content there and plan to add more going forward.
My hope is Queer Pioneers grows into a valuable resource for anyone interested in exploring LGBTQ history, while Collide Press continues to evolve as the hub for my personal creative work.
While this may not seem like a huge change, it’s an important one to me.
Queer Pioneers will be (primarily) a blog, so emails will be few and far between.
It’s time for me to dive into my Studio Saturday, so keep coloring outside the lines!

Thanks for reading (and watching)!
