"Whatever Gets You Through The Night" Good Luck, Dear Clint!!!

Clint Collide's avatar

Currently, magnesium supplements and THC edibles are doing a good job of getting me through the night. :-p Cheers, dear Larry!

You’ve got this, Nerd.

I’m reminded of Atreyu, the boy warrior in The Neverending Story who hunts the purple buffalo—being nursed back to health by the kind gnome, Urgl, as she offers him her witchy brew, she says, “It has to hurt to heal”.

Nerrrrd…may our friendship continue to be a never-ending story. 😘

And you know I love a witchy brew almost as much as a bitchy brew. 👻

Thanks Clint and RFK Sr. A couple of suggestions, In the evening, take a magnesium tablet to help with sleep, calcium with magnesium would also work. On the THC, I suggest using RSO and Full Spectrum Hash Oil alternate days. They come in oral syringes so you can adjust the dosage. Coffee and Tea can be dehydrating. Electrolytes can be helpful. I use powdered Propel and drink it after taking a walk. 🌈🏳‍🌈🎸❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🤎🖤🎵🎸

Thank you for the recommendations, dear Steve. I just recently added magnesium into my nightly regime. And decided last night to take a break from the “no THC” experiment for now. I got a decent night’s sleep for the first time all week, so I’m much more ready for the world. And work. Back to montages today! I appreciate you…cheers!

Be wary of a brand new doctor making major changes in your meds or lifestyle!!!!!!!! I had a similar experience when I moved to a new town. The new practitioner took me off a sleep/anxiety med I had been prescribed for the previous 20 years - cold turkey. I was messed up for over two months, even suicidal from lack of sleep and anger that she did not relent to my pleas. I finally found a therapist who put me back on it and was adamant that what that evil woman had done was not only unprofessional but also illegal. Sometimes these folks have their own agendas and rather than being a 'partner' in your self care want to take over and do your health THEIR way. I'd wait until you can get back with your regular doc and see what they recommend.

Thank you, Dennis. My “new” doctors works closely with my primary and his adjustments to my meds were minor (and things I’d already discussed with my GP). It’s the “no caffeine” and “no THC” experiments that were really throwing me for a loop. One at a time I can do, but together? Oh, hell no. I’ve let him know I’m reducing my intake going forward. But I need to sleep…and to wake up. Glad you found someone to get you back on track and are hopefully feeling much, much better. Stay strong, Mr. Dunnum!

All the best to you, Clint. Coffee is the one vice that I'm not sure I will ever be able to give up. My morning cup is something akin to what I imagine morning prayer would be. I have read from sources I trust that a morning glass of water is what we should be starting our day with. Good for you for taking care of yourself!

Thanks, David. I don’t even drink coffee. But between iced tea and diet soda, I’m a bit of a caffeine fiend. I let him know I’m reducing my intake but not going cold turkey anymore. On both caffeine and THC. :-p

Clint, Giving up coffee is a hard one! Hang in there! Fondly, Michael

Funny thing is I don’t even drink coffee. But I am addicted to tea and/or soda. He recommended I try going cold turkey for a week. It feels like a week. Maybe that’s good enough? :-p Cheers to you, Michael!

jThen Decaf Tea and Diet Soda? M

Clint Collide's avatar

Oh, Diet Soda is my go-to. Still has caffeine...and might be on my shopping list later. :-p

Good point. I always forget about that option. Thanks, Michael!
