Wan, my next door neighbour was married to an African American man and they lived in Ketchikan, Juneau and then Las Vegas. She does a little housework for me once a week - mainly so she can keep her eye on my wellbeing. Harry, her husband, was in heart failure when I first moved to this house. He didn't have the breath to do more than nod to me and he died 23 years ago. Wan has remembered her English since seeing me in my house once a week. I will mention your cruise to her when I see her tomorrow.
I'm not into rock so I don't know much about Hedwig and the Angry Inch, other than what Neil Patrick Harris said in an interview 12 years ago. I know it's about a German gender queer rock star. I loved Dougie Howser 36 years ago.
If you ever get back there, it’s an hour of silly fun. The young man yesterday with the arms like a Greek statue…was worth the price of admission by his lonesome. :-p
Clint, Thank you for taking us along today. I enjoyed the Ketchikan that greets you right off the ship. Gift shops, totem poles, smoked salmon…everything. My kind of place. The beards of the logger's show and more draws one in. Finally, on a different note, loved the John Cameron Mitchell piece. What a group of LOOKERS. So serious and so sexy. Loved the cheeks ending. Fondly, Michael
Thanks for tagging along, dear Michael. My stamina isn’t what I’d hoped today. Fighting a little cold, but I rested for a bit and made my way to the lumberjack show an hour early. Can’t miss that! As for Mr. Mitchell, Hedwig is one of my favorite movies. One day, I hope to see a revival of the musical. So much to say about the human condition in an original way! Glad you enjoyed the snippet of his genius. 🌈✌️

What a small, small world we live in. Much love and light to Wan…and you too, Uncle Ray!
I think I was on the same cruise a year ago but I missed that lumberjack show!
