I like the way you distinguish between competing and counter-programming. You feature images from the bodybuilding mags which were finding ways to produce "softcore' material to gays under the radar. You include it as part of your presentation of artistic and photographic merit. A reframing.
The other day someone, with whom I was speaking about my views on the troubles in the world, said in shock "You are an anarchist. I knew that you were more left wing than I am. I am moderate right."
He is wrong, if he sees me as cloaked with a bomb under my arm. I am subversive, maybe, certainly critical and disappointed that the world does not adhere to my romantic idealism. I do not come out fighting. I may occasionally use psychological judo throws to undermine their security so that they reframe or re-evaluate.
From a US perspective, I am certainly way out on the anti-authoritarian far left. I am the red under the bed, gentle, charming, seductive (intellectually not erotically).
Keep rocking the boat, dear one. Your politics are pretty close to my own, methinks. I need to learn some of your judo. It’s way more elegant that my back-alley fighting moves. :-p
