Brian, Is that the same mini cruise to Mexico you did earlier this year? My brother and SIL are gearing up for their 60th wedding anniversary cruise in late September or so. Never done any cruising before, just the people cruising in dark clubs and 'other places' ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ฏ Cheers DougT ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

There are times when solitude or at least at home alone with a pet are good for us and you obviously need that time - so indulge yourself - you obviously need the time alone so enjoy it and you too will be refreshed and Miss Ellie will enjoy your sole attention. I so enjoy your posts and look forward to many more.

Reminds me of this quote from โ€œ8 Rules of Loveโ€ by Jay Shetty:

โ€œAny step toward knowing yourself in solitude, will help you love others โ€” because in addition to knowing what you bring to the table, the very process of learning to understand and love yourself, helps you understand the effort required to love someone else.

โ€œThe work it took to understand ourselves teaches us that even when weโ€™re with someone we care about, it will still be hard to understand them. Perhaps the most important lesson solitude offers, is helping us understand our own imperfection; this prepares us to love someone else in all their beauty and imperfection.โ€
