When I first heard about it, I thought I'd hate Queen of the Desert, but instead I loved it and have watched it several times over the years. What a great present to the LBGTQ+ community.
Totally agreed. I had some friends who were drag queens in Dallas, but preferred their “magic” in real life and didn’t think 3 straight(ish) guys would be able to replicate that onscreen. They proved me wrong. Thank GAWD! :-)
Wow, Steve…hadn’t heard of this doc. Looks wonderful. Thank you!
As for Australia, I too, in the mid-1990s looked into moving there full-time. Alas, I didn’t have enough money in the bank, and the work laws were a bit stringent. Still, Sydney remains my favorite city outside the US.

Thanks Clint! I thoroughly enjoyed the documentary on many levels. I remember how much I loved the movie as well! So important, this!!!
Yay! Glad I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the doc. Already planning to watch it again…this time with some friends. Hope you have a great week!

Uh…that one I’ve never heard of, but the trailer (and logo) are definitely titillating. Emphasis on tit. :-p
Yuppers, Sapphic delights abound and power struggles in the world of TV soap operas

I may have told you this before, but when Nixion was presidiot, I had considered emigrating to Australia but was warned off by Australians here.
