This was a super bonus post. I first got to hear the wonderful 'Joy in my Heart" and then to get the Rock Hudson retrospective on top of that was quite the surprise.
Yep. Better safe than sorry for sure. I found out somewhere in time that my dad routinely threw away his jury summons—on purpose. 😳
Soon to be 89, a recent one came in the mail and I sternly told him he cannot throw that away and must respond—even though he will likely be dismissed due to age and other factors. Still—that’s my dad. Honeybadger.
I was called up for Jury service a few years ago. I went all the way to court, only to be sent home again 🙃. I was pleased, it was a very unpleasant and complex case. I'm hoping I don't get called again before I pass the age of eligibility x
Thanks, Doug. Got all the way down there, got a reprint of my jury summons, and found out I’m not needed today. Gotta call in every night to find out if I’m needed at all. Glad I at least know where to go now. Cheers!

Same. The last case I was picked for was a civil lawsuit against a dentist. The plaintiff was so tedious I was completely on the dentist’s side. Lol
