Thanks Clintππ³βπ and Randy Shiltsβ€π§‘πππππ€π€π΅πΉ In SATC, I liked David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Jason Lewis, Kyle McLaughlin. and Kristin Davis as Charlotte. SJP will be remembered for the naked dress, later they used the same style dress with newsprint all over it. ππ
Thanks, Steve! I had totally forgotten about Kyle MacLachlan being on the show. And David Eigenberg is my favoriteβ¦so cute, so handsome. And Patricia Field should have gotten more credit for her amazing design and styling. Some iconic stuff came out of that wardrobe trailer!
I know Jack squat about "Sex and the City" (I'm the wrong demographic in multiple areas, but mostly it always felt too "normcore" for my tastes π). But, your connection between the shows ending and your move REALLY resonates with me.
I think of these moments as "anchor points," people, places, songs, TV shows, and movies that are strong "anchors" to a specific point in our memory. I'm not sure if everyone does this, but I enjoyed reading about YOUR connection. It's fascinating how strong bonds can be via completely unexpected, and unrelated, ties.
(And to complicate my anti-"normcore" position, I have a strange, and STRONG, anchor from my youth that is connected with the teen drama "Swan"s Crossing" π)
Sean! Itβs a pleasure seeing you in the comments. Agree with and love your βanchor pointsβ pov. Not familiar with βnormcoreβ but after looking it up, Iβm way more familiar than I want to be. lol
We are a couple of episodes in this last season of AJLT. It's not bad but some of the B and C storylines are silly and I don't care much for the characters besides the original three. We will hopefully make our way through the whole season just to say we did!
I dated a "Carrie" for 6 months -- she was into shoes too, but she left me and broke my heart. I was at the top of my youthful dancer game. Boy I miss my abs. Now I only have "ab".
Then I realized I was more into "Big".
So the kids nowadays call it "pansexual". So does that mean I'm only attracted to kitchen staff now?
A Miranda? Bitch pleaseβ¦π Samantha through and through.
Then again, maybe weβre both becoming more Mirandas in this new era with new light and wisdom. And Iβm speaking to her SATC, final season period, where despite all her frailty, rigid rules, and preconceptions, she seems to have found heart, priorities, and greater self-awareness.
I mean, I donβt even care about shoes anymore, unless itβs about having proper support. Maybe weβve become enlightened Mirandas together in supporting roles of this final season, hm?
Final season? Bitch please. Weβve got many seasons (of love) ahead of us. Letβs meet in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge and make fun of people. :-p
Iβm thinking of our lives in three acts, like a play, after listening to Julia Louis Dreyfusβ interview with Jane Fonda on her Wiser Than Me podcast, which is an excellent listen:
Although, I think weβre in between our second and third act. But I guess weβre allowed to have as many seasons in between as needed. Many lives, many worlds, many possibilities.
